★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This ashram lies on the main road leading towards Narmada Kund. There is large complex which is used for accomodation. Ashram is neat and clean. This is good place in amarkantak. For parikramavasi there is free accomodation and lodging facility. The main gate is well decorated

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ "Mrityunjaya Ashram", one of the most prestigious, desirable and one of the oldest Ashramas/religious organizations of the world famous place "Amarkantak", a very remote but remarkable area of the Anuppur district, state Madhya Pradesh, Bharat, 484224. In 2008, when i had gone there for the very first time. At that time, i was approximately 15 yrs old. I had recently completed my 10th and after that i thought that i, with my family, enjoyed a couple of moments and so that we moved towards this holy place named "Amarkantak", the origin place of the ancient holy river "Narmada", which is the 5th longest river of India and another famous river "Sone", which is, in fact, a perennial river. We took South Bihar Express to move from Jasidih Junction to the Bilashpur Junction. From here, we used two four wheelers to go up to the hills. Since, it was my first journey of this type, hence, i was so excited about it. The road, that we took from the railway junction, was commonly known as "Pendra Road" and was marvelous road structure with superb natural sceneries. We had reached here till midnight approx. We, along with my guardians and my cousin brother, spent here less than a month. We saw here many extraordinary places and finally, with a big bundle of blessings from the sages of the very place and some unforgettable moments, we left for the home town.
