I own Hero Duet scooty. Hero declrares its patrol tank capacity as 5.5 ltr. I told the sales person to fill it completely and it was filled with 6.68 ltr plus 200-300 ml already in it. I was in doubt how can someone put 1.5 ltr above the tank limit. Patrol tank was dissabmbled and emptied. Found exactly correct quantity about 6.8 ltr as stated above. Doubt got cleared and I thanked to the owner and salesperson.
Auto Companies declares Patrol tanks capacity to a safe limit for the vapours and gases which are produced when engine is running. It might be upto 1 ltr above the declaired capacity.
