★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As usually name was identified it's, but after development of mundra and becomes new private port, it was not shine as earlier it's reputation, only 5 km away from the mundra town, recently this port required government help to stand up as his old conditions, now at ganpati visharjan very good behavior by custom, and local authorities, still this place stuff daily ship, export still continue at this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Approval has been granted to allow export of rice from old Mundra port which functions under Gujarat Maritime Board.
According to BM Gohil, Secretary of Mundra Port Users Association, the old Mundra port was non-functional for some time due to lack of electronic data system of Customs department. On the other hand, berthing charge at new Mundra port run by Adani was unbearable for desi ship(dhow) owners and operators.
In response to representations made by dhow operators, the government of India has recently given approval to set up data system at old Mundra port. This will make it possible to operate yearly 100-150 dhows that are expected to export one lakh tonne rice annually.
