β β β β β I unfortunately had to go there , and met a pedant and peevish officer who started to show off trivial faults with greater importance over my complaint letter , though I hope of having deeper knowledge of English than the Pedant in which I scribbled the letter.
I could construe from the lineaments of his face, the real character of the grouchy officer.
