Built in 1863 to commemorate the victims and survivors of the Mutiny of 1857, it was renamed Ajitgarh in 1972 by independent India. Opens at 9 A.M, no tickets required. The place is infested with monkeys ergo be very careful, location is off a main road in a very congested area, no parking for options for a long distance, I managed to check it out as I was cycling early in the morning.

This place is one of the oldest and less explored monument in Delhi constructed in 1863. The munity memorial is also known as Ajitgarh. It was built in the memory of all those who had fought during the Indian rebellion of 1857. This place is located near the roadside but they don't allow visitors inside.

A monument which is in good condition. Located at a higher elevation like Bara Hindu Rao Hospital, it stands testament to how much worried the British became, due to 1857. It is surrounded by forests and the view of the city from here is very good. There is a security guard posted here. If you see the gate is shut, look out for him. He might be slacking around.

Mutiny memorial is old structure build in the memories of british and Indian soilders who died during the indian rebellion of 1857. It is situated in front of Old Telegraph Building, kashmiri gate, New Delhi. Also known as Ajitgarh. Some people says that this place is a haunted place. But i can only says that the surrounding of this memorial is covered with the forest and it is obvious that in evening it feels little lonely as it is away from city traffic.

Nice historical place of great importance. One time visit place. No emtry tickets. It is usually less crowded. Also it is under construction ( as on 23 march 22). It is opposite Kamla Nehru park. There are no food outlets near the premises.
