★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decent collection of books at a very affordable price. There is a need of some encouragement from the public as well so that they keep publishing new books + reprint the old one. I asked for one particular book which they said has been out of print for long.

The books are well prices and neatly displayed..Found a treasure on arts of India here on one of my visits. The kid's story books look really interesting too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's run by the govt of India, but you will be surprised with the collection of children's books they have in there. A lot of good reads about moral education, history and nature. Majority of the books are pretty inexpensive too. If your kid loves books, this is definitely a place that you should take them to. It's located right inside Banashankari BDA complex.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Recently, I had asked around for books in Malayalam for a 4 year old and someone recommended NBT to me. I managed to visit their Bangalore branch today and was quite pleased with the collection of books they had and that too at such nominal prices. The quality and content of the books were also very good. The books you can readily find are a lot of picture story books, fiction, non-fiction, wordless books, books in the languages English, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam.
What stood out for me was that the store took me back in time to my childhood. Also, the people who manage their store are quite helpful. They offered a free book catalogue of their current titles as well. Another point to note is that you can become their lifelong member by paying Rs.100 and then on, get 20% of their books.
NBT India’s online presence is not great but if you have a store in your city, I would recommend visiting them once. It gives you a very old world feel.
