this Temple open from 24 hour date 24.7.20 midnight to 25.07.2020 This temple of Shri Nath chandreshwar Maharaj is very Ancient Temple. This temple situated above the Shri Mahakaleshwar temple located off the city of Ujjain. This Temple opened to devotees once a year. But this year due to Corona epidemic, this Temple has not been opened for devotees. This Temple has been opened from priests, so that they can perform the annual worship of shri Nagchandreshwar Maharaj boy the Vidhi Vidhan , for the devotees, LCD is the install of outside Shri Mahakal temple here. So that the devotees easily nagchandreshwar Maharaj seen.

This temple gates open only on the day of naag panchmi festival once in a year for 24 hours. It's devotees queue is as far as the devotees has to wait for 8 to 10 hours for see temple lord. This temple is also situated in the Mahakaleshwar temple space. In this covid time the devotees are advised to make sure of vaccination or distance maintenance between each other's.

This is the temple which opens just for 24 hours once in a year on "Naag panchmi" this time it was on 5th august.. it was my second time to visit the temple and every time the experience is getting much better. ? it is to be said that any kind of Kaal sarp dosh can be removed only after the visit to this Temple as there is a story behind this temple and that is said that when Nagraj takshak worshipped Lord Shiva and blessed to be immortal forever and he wants that he is not to be disturbed frequently. Hence to fulfill his wish the temple opens once in a year and the Nagraj takshak presents there on this day to bless everyone. ?

Nagchandreshwar Ujjain is a unique manifestation of Hindu God Shiva and this rare murti of Shiva is located on the third storey of the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh. This rare murti of Shiva as Nagchandreshvar is open to darshan only on the Nagpanchami day in Shravan month. Nagchandreshwar darshan happens in a year only on the fifth day of the Shukla Paksha of Shravan month. In this form Hindu God Shiva is more associated with the Nagas (Snakes) and Chandra (Moon). Thousands of devotees arrive on the day at Mahakaleshwar Temple to have darshan of Shiva as Nagchandreshwar. The idol of Nagchandreshwar on the third storey is open for darshan only on the day of Nag Panchami. The temple has five levels, one of which is underground. The temple itself is located in a spacious courtyard surrounded by massive walls near a lake. The shikhar or the spire is adorned with sculptural finery. Brass lamps light the way to the underground sanctum. It is believed that prasada (holy offering) offered here to the deity can be re-offered unlike all other shrines.
