गूँज उठा ये घर सारा।
जिसकी प्यारी मुस्कान से,
गूँज उठा ये जीवन हमारा,
हा वो नन्हे कदम ही थे जो,

शरारतों से जिसकी हम खूब हस्ते रहे।
कभी गुस्सा तो कभी प्यार उसे हम करते रहे।
मासूम आँखों में थे उसके लाखों सवाल,
जवाब जिनका देते देते हम थकते रहे।।
कल्पनाओं की उसकी अपनी एक दुनिया थी,
जिसका हिस्सा हम भी बन गए।
कभी बन्दर तो कभी घोड़ा आया,
अलग अलग कहानियां संग उसके हम बुनते रहे।।
उन नन्ही मुस्कानों में ही,
जीवन का सारा सार है।
हमको हमारा बचपन लौटाया,
सिखलाया की क्या प्यार है।।
उसके नन्हे कदमों को,
क्यों हम अपने डर से बांधे।
उसकी उन्मुक्त सोच को,
क्यों हम अपनी सीमाओं में बांधे।
बढ़ते रहने दो कदमों को उसके,
दिशा वो खुद ही ढूंढ लेंगे।
गिरे जो कभी हम जीवन में,
ये नन्हे हाथ हमें थाम लेंगे।।
 Whose laughter,
This house was echoed.
With a lovely smile,
This life echoed with us,
Yes, those were the few steps,
Our life stream has become.
Due to the mischief, we were very much afraid.
Sometimes we were angry and sometimes we loved him.
Millions of his questions were in innocent eyes,
We kept getting tired giving answers.
He had his own world of fantasies,
Part of which we also became.
Sometimes a monkey, sometimes a horse came,
We kept weaving with different stories.
In those little smiles,
The whole essence of life is.
Returned our childhood to us,
What love is taught.
His little steps,
Why should we be tied to our fear.
His free mind,
Why we bind within our boundaries.
Let it move, its steps,
He will find the direction himself.
Whoever we fall in life,
These little hands will hold us.
