Narayan Restaurant & Cafe - Pushkar

Before going Must read what Happened to one of my Indian friend in this restaurant ......here is his story ..... Generally we get recommendations here... But this post is a non recommendation to the Narayan Cafe in Pushkar... So we were in Pushkar for Holi celebration which was a great time. We were supposed to leave the next morning back home to Jaipur so we decided to have breakfast before we leave. We saw the cafe was full, the owner wasnt so keen to accommodate us, we thought that he really thought the table wont be available and hence that behavior. We still decided to wait for a table to get vacant, after 15 minutes we got a table and we sat there for another 10 minutes waiting for someone to take our order. Then the waiter came over to clear the table, we asked him for the menu and he in a very rude tone said it will take alot of time for the order and that we shouldn't wait for so long Me - No worries we have to go home so we are in no rush, please get us the menu Then to our shock came the truth Waiter (again being super rude) - go away from here we dont serve indians they are quite a fuss with their orders We- but you haven't even taken our order Waiter - just walks away without saying anything We were speachless with the humiliation we had to face in our own state and country We decided to sit unless we are served by the cafe, the owner and waiters knew we were going to wait, they very conveniently were taking orders from the other tables from non indian tourists. While we were still sitting there in rage, a group of foriegners came along asking us if we were done and going to leave because our table was cleared. We told them what had just happened with us. To our surprise they left the place saying we can't eat at such a place. We also got tired of waiting after 20 mins and had to leave the place. Never in my travel experiences i have faced such humiliation. The thing is there isn't much that can be done to these obnoxious behaviour of a few outlets like this one. Sigh ?

It was the worst experience ever I had in India !! The owner treated us like dogs and insulted us when it was time to pay because we thought the bill was 10rp less. We didn't even have the time to take our money out to pay the difference. He was throwing the moneyin our face to recount it and pay the right amount. He yelled at us. If you want food with good energy don't go there. Pancake was ok tho!

Found this half way through my one week in pushkar. Nice soy latte, great service, cheap prices and the guys are super nice. Makes my coffee as soon as he sees my bike! I'm leaving today I will miss the coffee and pancakes.

Very nice family running restaurant, with super good position and a tasty variety of food. Try their kavita or fruit salad or fresh juices...

Best best and best!! Yes this is what i can say about this cafe! By sitting here, enjoying tasty and yummy food and drinks you can see all Pushkar i can see all activities of Pushkar from this place only! I fully recommend you this place no matter you are foreigners or Indian!

One of my favorite Chai spots, managed by a very friendly family! just at the perfect junction where you can sip your chai and watch the daily life of Pushkar moving by!
