Natnam Studio where he conducts regular Kathak clssses also house shows of budding artists in various Indian classical dance,singing and music.Believe me its sheer delight to watch.
Kudos to Dr Piyush and his students .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Holi, a festival of colours. to celebrate love, community and arrival of spring, PHAGUN as we know in Hindi.
While the entire country rejoiced it with wet and dry colours and water, we celebrated it yesterday at Natanam with the colours of classical music and dance - ‘Baithak’ A mesmerising evening, started with a resounding Pakhwanj recital by Pranay Sakpal and Arjun Shinde, disciples of Shri Sukhad Mundeji, setting the mood and creating a platitude atmosphere.
For the first time I heard Khayal and Thumris renditions by Jayanti Nayak ma’am while our Kathak Sir Prakash Raj emoting it with amazing expressions. They were accompanied by Vaibhav Mankad on harmonium and Kaushik Basu on tabla.
Guru Shubhada with her disciples Mitali and Shreya displayed the naughtiness of Krishna, the spiritual form of Shiva through Odissi dance form.
This was followed by a Bharatnatyam performance my Guru Nilesh Singha. His performance started with a recital spreading the message of universal brotherhood - “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”, the world is one family.
He performed an Ashtapadi which is a Divine Romance between Shree Krisha and Radha celebrating the augmentation of Vasant.
The show ended with a finale by junior and senior kathak students who danced on the phagun songs. Both the Kathak compositions were wrtitten by Padmashri Dr Puru Dadheech, Piyush Sir’s Guru.
Had it not been for Natanam, I wouldn’t have got a chance to witness such amazing performances by these senior artists.
I am surely looking forward to learn my dance form and perform soon. Thank you Natanam for taking this initiative of Baithak.
