★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had hired this agency to transport our house hold articles from Bangalore to Kannur. The call to them was made 15 days prior to the actual shifting. On initial discussion they agreed to do the job for Rs.18000/-. We asked them to come to our house and check the items, but they said they have a lot of experience and they don't need to check and they will make all arrangements.
On the day of shifting, we had asked them to reach the house on Sarjapur road at 9:30a.m so that we can at least leave by 11:30 - 12:00. We were to supervise the packing and then travel in our car ahead of the truck to reach kannur before they do to unload the items.
To start with they reached the house at 1:00p.m, blaming traffic block (on a saturday) as the reason for delay. This is the reason the owner gave, when we asked the driver he said he was informed about the shifting only at 11:00a.m. There were three guys (one of which was the driver) who were highly inexperienced in any kind of packing and were asking us to discard items. They were not using proper packing (like bubble wrap) for sensitive items.
They came with a small vehicle (tata 407), after putting in half of the items the driver says all the items can't fit in and they need a bigger vehicle. The owner does not send any other vehicle but asks the drive to fit it in somehow. They push all the items in the vehicle and leave at 6:00P.M instead of the scheduled 12:00 noon.
While about to leave he says that he needs an ID proof photocopy and list of items. None of which was informed to us during the initial discussions and then says he wants 100% advance amount. We refuse the 100% advance, he finally agrees to 50% and the vehicle leaves.
They reach Kannur a day late and we find many items are damaged including the two wheeler, T.V stand, chairs and many more. When confronted with the damage, the driver says, "don't you know how bad the road is"? He was extremely rude and abusive (that too to my 62 yr old father in law).
Absolutely unprofessional in terms of behavior and work. Never hire these guys for anything.
