★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is the world's largest Shani (Saturday) Navgrah (Nine Planet's) Mandir (Temple) as claims the big signboard in rhe front wall of the temple. One of the other unique things about this temple is the rare Uttarmukhi (Face facing North) Black idol of Lord Ganesha (generally Ganesha idols are neither never Black in colour, nor are they face North). Then, one can also do darshan of all 9 planetary gods, v.i.z. Surya Dev (Sun God), Chandra Dev (Moon God), Mangal Dev (Tuesday), Budhh Dev (Wednesday), Brihaspati or Guru Dev (Teacher/Master God), Shukr Dev (Friday), Shani Dev (Saturday), Rahu and Ketu.
The temple is located at Baigram, enroute to Omkareshwar from Indore or vice-versa. One of the sore point about the temple area is location on narrow and busy segment of the state highway as well as lack of proper parking space thereby creating frequent traffic jams/snarls, especially on Saturdays or special religious occasions when the worshippers pour in very large numbers.
There are sundry hawkers and temporary shopkeepers selling puja samagri (articles related to worship and offerings to the lords) and snacks/eatables, on either side of the main road which give a shabby and unorganized feeling. These hawkers and shopkeepers need to be moved and neatly organized by the district and state administrations.
Overall, a highly recommended place and extremely "sidhh" (faith and fame) especially for Hindus who are believers.
