It is amazing place, it's the place you can find your true self. The place to look inside and see yourself clearly in the waters of your hearts. It's Lord Shiva Temple and you can feel the positive vibes, blessings in the air. Shivalinga is made of blue stone. There is no towers in the valley and environment is very peaceful. I think this temple is the example of ancient Indian architecture. It was probably built around 500 to 900 A.D there are other Shiva temple around but they are completely in ruins and you can notice many broken temples and Shiva lingam s . There is also a statue of lord Mahavira, i think it's a jaina temple. Truly, friends this place is a must visit site for spiritual and history lovers. I think Government should make efforts to preserve it, although policemen are there but Investments to promote tourism and preserve architecture should be priority. There is also a dam nearby visit it too. Have a good day.

Marvels architecture. It’s is said that the Shivlinga there is made of Neelam(sapphire). Most of the temple is destroyed. Garbgraha is still ok. No one is there to manage this architecture one guard from archeological department. Such a pity on our government that such beautiful places are ignored there is no priest only few kids. I felt very bad after looking at the situation of site.

A beautiful site with an aura of spirituality. Age old temple with no possibile record of its time. We can only imagine how people would have come to this site to pray ! Mahadev's shivlinga is supposed to be made of blue sapphire but that could just be a local story. You can feel the calmness standing near it and praying. Har har Mahadev.??

It's Shiv Linga of the time of Pandavas. Shiva is being worshipped here since at least 5500 years. The temple was made by some king 600-700 years ago. Hastinapur and Indraprastha (present day Delhi) are almost equidistant from here. Some villagers told that Yudhishthir had come here after becoming Crown Prince/ Yuvraj with his mother and brothers and established/ prayed in this temple. Neelkanth Mahadev blessed & saved the Pandavas from the conspiracy of Shakuni in Lakshya griha. If you are fortunate you can witness birds doing "parikrama" of the temple. The priest is very friendly. One can get water from nearby borewell and perform jalabhishek of Lord Shiva. Jai Shiva Shambho, Jai Bholenath.

Amazing and hidden gem in alwar. Little bit road is not good before we start on Neelkanth hill. But it's manageable and worthy. Also try to bring water and food. Enjoy picnic. You'll not get anything much to eat there. Only chips n all.

Amazing place in the middle of the aravali ranges in Alwar district. While the temple is small and located in the tribal ranges, its beauty is pristine. It is also a ASI site, where the collected remains from various temples are kept there. Visit this place during day light, its about 75kms from Alwar town. Roads are pretty bad after Rajgarh, roughly 30kms of bumpy, broken roads. Visit the place only if you have 6hrs or more.

One of the most beautiful Shiva temple with worst roads but all worth it...the Shivalinga is made of the pure "Neelam" making it priceless..the sight is just awesome.. I was surprised to see nice tall statue of Mahavira with incredible carvings on the monuments nearby

This is a hidden gem. Ancient temple now maintained by Archeological Survey of India. For reaching there you need to drive a mountain up and down. There is a natural lake and many ancient ruin near by in walking distance. Don't miss the other ruin sites along with Jain temple.
