Q8) What are the documents needed at the time of booking?
You have to execute a document known as ‘Forwarding Note’ duly furnishing details of the consignments to be booked as well as details of the consignor and consignee. Besides this, an undertaking in the prescribed format shall be furnished stating that e-way bill will be generated and produced before taking delivery. However, if value of the consignment is less than Rs. 50,000/-, an undertaking to this effect shall be given by the consignor.

The station is well equipped with lifts escalators and battery operated vehicles for elderly and differently abled. FIVE STARS.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There is always huge rush here but the manpower to handle it is not adequate as I found.
It has a wife spread area. Parcel office will always warn you not to be trapped by unauthorized brokers and will process all your bookings without any hurdles except that govt. employee usual attitude.
There are plenty of such brokers moving around like flies. They must be removed from there.
Rest all is ok. Consult the clerk, official directly for smooth work flow.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good experience of railway parcels. very cheap way to bring your luggage from one place to another.
But you need-
1. Original reciept (the one you got while booking parcel) while collecting your luggage/ parcel.
2. The railways require an ID proof while booking your parcel, the same person can only collect parcel by submitting his ID at parcel office .
Note- Do not forget to check the late fees for non collection of your parcel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Need more development on departure section as huge rush of people's and children's are standing in the queue for scanning of baggage section and I also went to the parcel section and it's unhygienic

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I booked my bike recently. Things to remember before visiting for bike parcel. Parcel is allowed only 23 hrs prior to train departure. Directly visit to main parcel office don't take help of brokers for paking and sending the bike out side of parcel office. Please bring photo copy of Bike insurance+ ID proof of sender+you should have a confirm ticket of the same train by which your bike will be parceled (Photo copy of ticket is also must). Make sure to bring bottle or container to empty your petrol tank. 1st you take the form fill it and attach all the photo copies. There only I got packers who takes 200 Rs/ bike. Don't leave your key in bike. When some one coming to pick the bike id proof photo copy is must needed there also. Note: Please check with railway which train is being used for parcel in your route. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vastly improved railway station..very need n tidy..the newly opened food plaza outside platform no 16 makes the station look like a airport..food plaza contains like Haldiram,wow momos,kfc,tea junction,the mughlai lane,juice corner,roll station, Domino's...this food plaza helps passengers with good food..becoz many times it's difficult to find gud food..in personal I liked these changes in railway station very much????

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Neat and clean railway station, looks beautiful at night. Metro, bus and all other connectivity available from there. There is a direct metro line also known as airport express line which connects new Delhi Railway station to IGI airport T1, T2 and T3.
