★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to this store today to buy an overhead water tank of capacity 1000 L for my house which is in a village 15 kms away. It has one obscure brand, not Sintex or any well-known. The owner's sales boy took me to his godown and showed what they have. The store owner said this is the only ISI marked one in India, priced Rs 8,400. When I asked for a brochure or printed pamphlet that describes this item/ salient features/ key specs, he said no, he did not have. When I asked 'who is the manufacturer', he said someone in Kerala, no name. He does not have even basic publicity material for the item that shows the manufacturing company name/ location/ website/ phone number etc. He showed me a "12-years valid " warranty form printout that that did not reveal any info about the company or product. He did not look keen in doing business, he acted busy with some nut and bolt sales to other customer. He showed an indiferent attitude of 'buy it as I told you or get lost - I have too many customers standing in line'.
There is nothing that I could do, except leave the place and look for another store. I felt sorry for wasting time. Just beware of this store and what to expect.
