★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For the most trusted jewellery & gems,Mathur and Whisky are best to meet in India,treats equally to everyone,gives great hospitality and are very well known in the world for making custom designs in gold.I bought a pendant for me from them,ethnic design and completely handmade.The brothers have a great collection of gold jewelry,which is mouth watering.Also,they have a very clean business and no commission paying business with tourist guides nor with taxi drivers and they do not allows them inside the shop.They have fixed prices and sells only the best jewelry possible.
I highly recommend everyone to the famous jewelry brothers of Jaipur,India.They also do custom designing and soon will be buying an Emerald ring from them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had heard from friends about this amazing jewellery store in Jaipur that specialised in custom made jewellery. Recently my husband and I visited Jaipur and met the two charming owners Mathur and Whisky. In 24 hours they designed and made a ring for me in gold matte with a Swiss blue topaz finished with diamonds. We were delighted with the ring and so impressed with the service. It is worth noting that they do not pay commission to local guides so you don't end up paying inflated prices.

They are especially known for making custom designs in gold and for selling certified natural gemstones that are very high quality. I got earrings and a pendant made in gold with diamonds and green amethysts. They made the jewelry by hand and gave me a lifetime guarantee on their workmanship and friendship for life. The boys are very hardworking & are very down to earth. Being famous all over U.S., Canada, London & Europe, they are very polite and they treat everyone well and give equal time to all customers. Also, they have a fixed price business and no commission is paid to tour guides or to taxi drivers. They do not allow them inside the shop. My wife and I went on our own and really enjoyed it. I highly recommend these you famous jewelers, Mathur & Whisky.

I have just returned to Italy from Jaipur, India. I had to take diamond earrings to give to my niece. I looked on the Internet and I chose the store New Maharaja Gem Palace of the brothers Mathur & Whisky because I read that they do not give commissions to tourist guides. This made me very happy. As soon as I entered the owner immediately told my guide to go out. I bought diamond earrings of great value and manufacture. I chose precious stones and asked to make white gold earrings. They pitted them at the hotel after 3 hours. Mathur & Whisky are very talented. They make Jewelry for celebrities from around the world. Guides and drivers makes 45% commissions. It's crazy. I find it absurd. Mathur & Whisky have fixed price. I advise all tourists to go to them. They have great prices and are courteous and polite.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had planned to get a ring made in India for our engagement and found this place online. From the moment we arrived Gunjan (co-owner) was welcoming, really helpful and patient whilst my fiancee was thinking about the different options.
We did decide to buy and created a bespoke ring including choice of gem, diamonds and metal.
The ring was made that afternoon and delivered in person to our accommodation later that evening.
There are no guides taking commissions for this shop so go direct it's opposite Hawa Mahal.
The passion and genuine desire for the customer to have something they are happy with was evident throughout the whole process which was enjoyable in itself plus my fiancee now has a ring she is extremely happy with!

I had a pink sapphire and rose gold ring made and we also purchased an emerald and diamond ring. The two brothers were extremely friendly and relaxed and took a lot of time to show us various pieces and explain about the different types of stones they had. We didn't feel any pressure to make a purchase at any point. The ring turned out really nice and they were even generous enough to upgrade the stone when the original one we picked got lost in the workshop. We would not hesitate to buy from them again.

The brothers, Whiskey and Mathur are very honest and knowledgeable about gems and the making of jewelry. They are sincere and helpful. They made a beautiful ring for me based on one I had shown them. Much attention was paid to detail and craftsmanship.
In addition, the brothers were able to help me with a distressing situation related to something I had purchased at another store that had been misrepresented to me.
I felt very comfortable doing business with them. I found them to be genuine in all their dealings with me. They also design very beautiful modern jewelry and seek out the best stones. I look forward to visiting them again in my travels.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hands down one of the most positive shopping experiences I’ve ever had. After reading other positive reviews about the store, my friend and I decided to give it a visit and we were glad we did.
Gunjan immediately makes you feel comfortable when you enter the store – he offered us chai and really listened to what we were looking for. We had tons of questions with regards gems, metals and pricing scenarios and he answered them all in a very straightforward manner while giving us the time and space to decide what we really wanted. Not once did Gunjan pressure us into buying something we didn’t want to buy. A lot of stores give commissions from tour guides that drive tourists to their store, but it’s clear that New Maharaja Gem Palace operates away from this model.
We were also able to see our rings before they were to be sent for gold plating. With both of our rings, we weren’t initially entire happy with how the shape of the rings turned out, and after we expressed this to Gunjan and Whisky, they worked to have our feedback addressed immediately to make sure we were happy with our rings at no extra charge. Their willingness to make sure we were happy with our end product is truly what sets them apart.
Gunjan and his brother Whisky also invited us over for dinner with his family which was such an memorable experience - great food and great conversation. They even invited us to their cousin's wedding later in the week. My friend and I were dying to attend an Indian wedding, so we couldn’t say no. Gunjan and his mother went as far as to dress us for the wedding (sari and kurta) and insisted we keep the clothes after the wedding! It was truly an incredible experience.
In the end, we were super happy with our rings and can now call Gunjan and Whisky friends.
