It touches the lives of Indian citizens in many ways: delivering mails, accepting deposits under Small Savings Schemes, providing life insurance cover under Postal Life Insurance (PLI) and Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) and providing retail services like bill collection, sale of forms, etc. The DoP also acts as an agent for Government of India in discharging other services for citizens such as Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) wage disbursement and old age pension payments. With 1, 55,015 Post Offices, the DoP has the most widely distributed postal network in the world.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is convenient if you want a post office near to Tata Memorial or Unitech, But if you are particular about the time of visit make sure you visit after 11:30 and before 14:30.They don't open up during the official hours and generally starts functioning 1/2hrs delayed. Also, the man in charge of the post office has high got temperament, so if you enquire about the delay, instead of talking politely he pounces upon you and starts abusing verbally. Overall a little window post office where your work will be done if you are visiting rush hours.. The photo shared is taken during 11:30,and the office was still not open.

Go to 1st floor of the building and find india post office yourself, no security guard is there to guide you. service is good.
