The sherwani originated in the 19th century British India as the European style court dress of nobles and royals of the Mughal dynasty, before being more generally adopted in the late 19th century. It appeared as a fusion of the British frock coat and a kurta and pajama, first at Lucknow in 1820's. It was gradually adopted by rest of the Indian royalty and aristocracy, and later by the general population, as a more evolved form of occasional traditional attire.
In India, the achkan sherwani is generally worn for formal occasions in winter, especially by those from Rajasthan, Punjab, Delhi, Jammu, Uttar Pradesh and Hyderabad. The achkan sherwani is generally associated with the Hindus while the simple sherwani was historically favoured by Muslims. The two garments have significant similarities, though sherwanis typically are more flared at the hips and achkans are lengthier than simple sherwanis. The achkan later evolved into the Nehru Jacket, which is popular in India. In India, the achkan or sherwani is generally worn with the combination of "Churidar" as the lower garment.
Sherwanis are mostly worn in India, Bangladesh and Pakistan. These garments usually feature detailed embroidery or patterns. One major difference between sherwani wearing habits is the choice of lower garment, while in India, the dress is distinguished by their preference for churidars or dhotis, in Pakistan and Bangladesh, it is mainly worn with shalwar instead.
Sherwani is a long coat-like garment worn in South Asia, very similar to an Achkan or doublet. Sherwani originated as a fusion of the Shalwar Kameez with the British frock coat. It was traditionally associated with the aristocracy of the Indian subcontinent. It is worn over the Kurta and Churidar, Khara pajama, a shalwar. It can be distinguished from the achkan by the fact that it is often made from heavier suiting fabrics, and by the presence of a lining. After the independence of Pakistan, Mohammad Ali Jinnah frequently wore the Sherwani and made it the national dress of Pakistan.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ These fellow dont know how to do business. There are many issues that I want customers should know before entering his shop:
1. They are not time punctual. Date of delivery was 02.11.2021 but on 10th also, the order was not ready.
2. They never pick call. I made more than 100 calls to know whether my fiance order is ready, not no one picked phone.
3. Their fitting is very bad. When I went to collect my order, the sherwani was not getting to my fiance body... And surprisingly he told that my fiance has gained weight but actually he lost 2 kg...
Never ever peep to his shop.... Worst shop in delhi. These people not reliable at all.....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst shop in terms of customer satisfaction. They just agree to whatever customer asks at the time of sale but absolutely nothing at the time of delivery. Moreover, they delay every delivery by at least 2 weeks. I am running to their shop for 3 weeks now, I come across at least 3-4 unsatisfied customers per 2-3 hours a day. Just don't buy from here if your time frame is tight.

1. They will never pick up your calls.
2. Will not deliver anything as promised.
3. You will have to go to the shop for every enquiry, detail and conversation.
4. Even after a month of the promised delivery date of product they have not send the product.
5. They will try to give you the wrong product and extort more money from you then the value.
6. They even lied that the product has left for delivery but in reality it was at the shop only.
7. It is better to spend 5-10k more than to just waste your time and money on these guys.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Please don't buy anything from this shop because the owner as well the workers are highly unprofessional, arrogant. They have altered the sample sherwani which I chose and delivered to me. There was no fitting, pagdi has stains everywhere and if you will ask them to give what was promised they will start arguing, there are 7-8 workers who are illiterate and ready to fight with the customers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very unprofessional people, feel cheated after purchasing. Very careless towards about their product & delivery schedule. Once you confirmed your product they will not entertain you at all. I have visited 5 times to this shop approxx 150 km far from my location ( professional) & need to carry groom clothes to my hometown which is apprrox. 1000 km far & they promised me they will arrange on time but they even didn't pick my call & not prepared my order.
Approx. 5-6 k cost loss due to transportation charges. So Guys this is not only me who have faced there are multiple guys I have seen during these transaction. Strictly not to purchase from these kind of store where they do not treat customer positively, you will feel very badly offcourse you don't want spoil your behaviour during marriage time.
