★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nine O Nine is a new pub that has opened up in Saroor Nagar. I was pleasantly surprised to visit the pub as the atmosphere was quite electric. The music and lights will totally get you grooving. I was invited here for a food tasting.
We tried out some of their cocktails as well as appetizers. Mojito is a classic drink created with white rum and light mint flavors that set up the mood for what was to come next. Their Special 909 Mule was slightly stronger and served on a copper mug with crushed ice. The bartender also created a special white rum cocktail on request created with raw mango and chilly powder. We also tried out Tequila shots with lime and salt. They have flavored Vodka shots available in variants of orange and pineapple.
Now let’s move on to the starters. The Hot and Fiery recipe can be selected with any type of meat or seafood and literally tests your spice tolerant levels. I tried this out with prawns and would recommend this for spice lovers. The ghee roast chicken was filled with Mangalorean spices and an apt appetizer with the drinks. If you like lamb then do try out the crispy fried that has the perfect texture and is bound to get finished in minutes. I also tried out the Malai Broccoli but felt that this could have been improved by adding more Malai to the dish.
Overall I would recommend this place for party people who live in the vicinity as this surely is a welcome hangout!
