★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Honestly, I feel that Ranjitha is a great teacher but she tries to waste time by talking about things that just don't matter, dance classes here feel like 'art of living' classes.
So, you really can't progress much even after 5-6 months of learning here. It's annoying for people who travel from distant places for that one hour class in which teaches for only 30 min tops and rest all of the time is a sheer waste.
Also, she doesn't acknowledge the fact that people travel from distant places and is more rigid about making adults follow rules as if we were in some sort of a school.
'Discipline' cannot be taught by anyone besides dance or any other art medium is definitely not the right place to enforce one's personal belief systems.
I truly wanted to post an honest feedback because I couldn't find one for myself.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An opportunity to pursue an Indian classical dance form like Kathak for the first time in your 20's with a full time job in hand was indeed the Universe's conspiration.Filled with immense gratitude to have found my happy place(I wouldn't call it an institution) like" Nitara " under the guidance of my guru Ranjitha ma'am who teaches you the aesthetics behind an art form as a way of living.Here at Nitara you grow as an artist and a better human being that will be reflected both in your life and dance. She is very meticulous about the detailing, be it your movement, posture and footwork.She is a disciplinarian(7AM means 6.55 AM ).Here you receive individual attention ,no performance pressure and nothing commercial. Has to be my best life changing decision.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I cannot begin to describe the impact my Guru has had on my life. Every class taken is with utmost dedication, postivity and respect for time (both one's own and others as well). As a professor myself, I have come to understand, it is important to report by the given time as distance is a mere excuse. Ma'am does not only teach us dance lessons but helps us understand the very essence of being a good person. Her patience, concentration on each student and constructive feedback would only help me grow as a person. Kathak at Nitara, through my experince, has been a window to incorporate values into creativity and for that i cannot thank my teacher enough.

I am glad to share that..i have successfully compeleted 5 months of this beautiful journey of mine with Nitara :-)
Our Ranjitha Ma'am teaches every details of this form of Art and has lots of patience to correct each movements of us to make our basics strong.
Best thing is you grow as a beautiful soul and Ma'am knows how important it is to embrace our inner beauty to bring beautiful dancer out.
Also I want to mention out of my experience , Every art form or anything we want to precive in life requires discipline to learn it correctly. Following rule is not harm rather it makes us a better and well managed person, which is not bad.
There is no such place where one can learn any art form overnight and especially all Indian dance form require lot of patience..dediacation ..willingness ..decipline and ofcource to attain all these one need time.....
I am very grateful to Ranjitha Ma'am that you gave me opportunity to be a part of Nitara and I am enjoying my journey of becoming a better person and beautiful dancer day by day. Thank you so much and loads of love.

Rajitha Ma'am is one the most gifted teachers who will so patiently explain the most intricate basic details of kathak and lovingly hand hold all her students . But more importantly she makes us feel so special and imbibes a belief in her students that inspires us to grow into beautiful kathak dancers and human beings. So if someone is looking for elegance, poise, positivity, belonging, soulful experiences along with learning one of the most intricate dance forms in the simplest way then Nitara is the best place to be.

In Nitara you learn to work on your inner self first and then on the skill. When an artist accomplishes that the result is oh so amazing and beautiful. In Nitara you don't see speed but see accuracy , don't see rushing but stability, don't see ego but learning, don't see strictness but discipline, don't see disappointment but learn how positivity can enhance once life.
