NMT CAR SERVICE & TOURS N TRAVELS - Kolkata

Be extremely careful about travelling with NMT. They should be punished for their misdeed with us. We were literally thrown out from a NMT bus on 26th December 2020 night on midway while returning from Shantiniketan. My experience of travelling with NMT is too bad. They attract people by promising good service at economy rate and then squeeze money from travellers. Don’t keep promises. Misbehaves with travellers. Deny their own written terms and commitments.

A nightmarish experience with NMT tours! We would like to warn potential travellers to judiciously avoid this tour company. They have a basic modus operandi. They allure potential customers with a rather cheap rate (say1 thousand or 2 thousand lesser than the usual rate) and readily agree to all your terms and conditions and thus entrap them.And then when you are quite into the trip the owner (Ayan) just denies all the commitments and starts threatening you over phone ,demanding more money or else get stranded there.At first being solely dependent on his vehicle we gave in and started shelling out money. With every passing hour his demands and threats and misconduct rose till he declared he won't drop the travellers whom he had previously picked up from different parts of the city unless more money is given! Now being continually under his threats and fulfilling his monetary demands, we finally unanimously decided not to pay any further. Thanks to the Ola and Uber services we reached home exhausted and drained out! This post is all about the disenchantment with this NMT TOURS AND TRAVELS and a warning to all gullible future travellers against this tour company! The only strong positive point is the driver Arpan, a skilled and efficient one who could do nothing but convey his master's dictats! It's only his benevolent smile that kept us going through our trip.

Perhaps the worst car service I've ever seen, poor and broken condition of buses, resoled n deplorable condition of tyres, no proper jack in the four buses, old and exhaust ed battery, no jumping cord so battery from one bus dismantle ed and other bus gets start, fuel average is only 2 kmpl stated by a driver in front of memary ps police personnel, errant and drunkard drivers except Subhojit of bus no 9922

This is going to be a very long review, because people should be aware of the fraudulent game that NMT tours & travels is continuing. We were 19 students travelling for a short weekend trip during the Holi 2022, to Madhupur-Simultala-Giridih from Sodpur. The round trip would have been approx. 900km. We booked a 26 seater traveller for the trip. Just like others we were also offered a reasonable rate and acceptable terms & conditions. We paid booking amount of 3.5K to the owner Mr. AYAN. The night we were supposed to start the trip, the bus arrived 45 minutes late because there was some issue with a tyre. After we boarded the bus, the driver was reluctant to start. Then the owner comes and demands 20K rupees before starting the journey. Reason mentioned: FastTag Recharge. We negotiated and he agreed to take 15K. We paid him a total of 18.5K rupees, that is like more than half the total amount before even starting our trip because of his arguments. Now the coming to the night journey: 1. It was horrifying for us because the driver kept dozing off every 5 minutes. He was barely able to sit stable & drive properly because he was so sleepy. 2. It took him 3 hours to reach Dankuni from Sodepur. The driver took a hault to get a tire & stepney fixed. It is then when we got to know that even the provided stepney are in bad condition. Anyhow the tyres were temporarily fixed & we reached Burdwan from Kolkata in 6 hours! Since we were already so late, we couldn't reach Simultala and we had to change our tour plan because the driver was incompetent to make us reach our destination on time. Anyway we adjusted according to the situation & planned to stay at Madhupur. Next morning, we planned to start for Simultala early and all of us were ready to leave Madhupur by 7am. That's when we find out that one front tyre is punctured so it needs to be fixed. Morning 7.30am, the driver & his helper leave the hotel to search for a garrage, but because of Holi all shops were closed. After trying a lot they got a mechanic & came back around 12 pm. By this time we already lost half a day to start for Simultala. Forcefully we had to extend our stay at Madhupur for another night. The 3rd & last day of this trip: we were supposed to leave for Kolkata. On the way we visited Usri falls, and this was the first spot we visited during our entire 3-day trip. After this we went to a place for lunch. There we find out that our driver is not feeling well. He is feeling dizzy and dehydrated, he cannot walk straight, he is feeling that weak. We asked him if he is confident enough to drive safely. He said yes, so we started off. After travelling a little distance, the driver again haulted to change tyre. As the driver was sick, we allowed him to rest. To save time we didn't even go to a garrage and 3 of our team members helped for changing the stepney. The bus helper was USELESS. Again we started off for Kolkata and after travelling a few kilometres, we realised that the driver is not stable & it won't be safe for him to continue driving. Also the axel was making weird sound. We were stranded near Dhanbad around 6pm in the evening and had more than 300km to cover for reaching Kolkata! We spent 1 hour finding alternatives because it was not safe to travel in that bus. We aren't even sure if he was actually sick because of certain incidents that most of us noticed that day. It all looked like a pre-planned drama to harras us. Still, concerning the driver's detoriorating health we informed at the local police station because all this while there was no response from the owner, Mr. AYAN. At last we booked 3 innova cars from another car agency, paying huge amount of money for returning. Now I am returning in that innova and writing this review. MORAL: Our TRIP was SPOILED; our BUDGET for the trip EXCEEDED and we faced SERIOUS HARRASSMENT. Please do not book your trips with NMT and report about the owner if you faced such fraudulent. His company should be immediately SHUT. We are also going to take leagal action against this travels.

Doesn't deserve a single star. Fraudster is the only term close enough to explain their behavior accurately. They completely sabotaged our travel plans. We were a group of 106 people with kids and senior citizen and hired 4 large vehicles that were supposed to start from purulia at 9AM in the morning. Soon after we boarded, the drivers made an issue out of nothing and we started after 12PM. The drivers along with their manager Ayan plans to harrass us the entire day and charge for more money. They deliberately tamper with the car's electric system to break it down midway. We spent 5 hours in the middle of nowhere to fix these issues after calling a mechanic. And as soon as it was fixed, the driver Suvo broke the car keys himself to delay the journey. After being threatened by police and the locals we again travelled for 2 hours. But the same inevitable story repeats at a petrol pump near Palsit station. We filed an FIR to police again. They keep harrassing the passengers and abruptly stop the vehicles and threatens to leave you there unless you pay huge sums of extra money for non existent problems created by them deliberately. We were stuck on the road over night for 15 hours. Bottom line, if you have unknowingly hired a vehicle from this agency, your safest bet is to completely drop it and look for alternatives. This will save you a significant amount of your time and money

Worst-ever experience with this tourism n car service. We started our tour at Night and from the Very first moment they started rough behaviour by asking for money and the driver kept falling asleep in the entire journey and we stayed awake to keep him awake. Our tour plan was entirely destroyed as at Night they said that the tyres needes to be changed.the next day we desperately made a completely another plan and thought of a new plan the next day and on that day morning again the driver said that the tyres needed to be changed and completely sabotaged that day's plan.and the last day that is today we finally made it to one of our planned destination but while returning the driver said he is feeling sick and he cant made it to home.He is severely ill from the very first day perhaps and didn’t even bother to notify us.He was completely out of control and we can't say surely whether he is faking or not but we are not continuing our Journey and already complained to the police. we deliberately request to each n every person to read all the reviews and see how they are cheating everyone. Do not book this car service ever.They are totally Fraud. BE AWARE AND DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR PRECIOUS TIME WITH THIS CAR SERVICE.

First of all this 1 star is because there is no option of putting zero star! Also this review is for making people aware of the fraudulent game that NMT tours & travels is still continuing. About the vehicle: back tyres were in extremely bad condition and so were stepney, hand break doesn't work; risky axel and tyres.. About the driver & his helper: driver dozing off and falling asleep while driving; helper was useless, doesn't even know how to put a jack for changing stepney! About the owner: Mr. Ayan, he is a CHEATER; running his fraudulent tours & travel, lying to the customers and harassing them for money. We had to change our trip plan completely because of the faulty vehicle which was provided to us in bad condition. The budget of our entire trip also increased because of this reason. We were a group of 20, with a child. On the day of our return to Kolkata, the driver fell sick and we were stuck in the middle of a highway near Dhanbad, that too around 6 pm. We still had a distance of more than 300km to cover. We informed the local Police about the driver's deteriorating health condition and our condition. After searching for alternatives for 1 hour, lastly we had to book 3 Innova cars from another car agency, paying huge amount of money. Now I am returning in that Innova and writing this review! Please be aware of this Ayan and never fall for his words. His fraudulent company should be sued immediately.

Had there been a negative rating option, I would have opted for that. This agency deserve a 0 star rating. The travel agency, the owner, the drivers alike harass the travelers at each and every point to extract more and more money. Travelling with this agency is like a non-ending nightmare, transports at worst condition, inexperienced drivers, the drivers are always into road raging, commitments are not honored, the drivers threatens to leave you at a remote location if the money is not paid asap, deliberate attempts to stop the cars for long hours to make the passengers so helpless than you will be forced to pay extra money to them. The agency should be banned immediately from service and all the licenses should be cancelled. Agency of fraudsters and cheaters. If you love your life, don't book from this agency. Not recommended to anyone.
