The mill is part of Orient Paper & Industries which comprises the paper facility and manufactures of Portland cement and ceiling fans, and which itself is a subsidiary of CK Birla Group. Orient has worked with Pan African Paper Mills in Kenya, in partnership with the Government of Kenya and the International Finance Corporation. The Orient Paper Mill was awarded the Golden Peacock Environment Management Award for 2006 by the World Environment Foundation (WEF).

While it may lack comforts of big basket, zomato or in certain items flipkart and amazon, most of the things could be managed from the market in good price. It has got some very great schools in the region. 'Okay' colleges I will say. But the most preferred characteristic of my liking is the greenery and space. If you enjoy peace, it may offer you the same. (Don't interpret previous line as it being a hill station, although you may find one very close by 'Amarkantak').
