β β β β β Dining here was a delightful experience. Very good staff. If you are new to koreon cuisine, they'll explain nicely if you ask. The ambience is soothing. They had very calming music playing in the background. The decor adds on to the calm of it all, very simplistic and elegant. They have two seating options, one is outside with the view and the other is inside. Now talking about the food, we had 3 main, two drinks and two desserts in total. Gyozo dumplings, dolsot bibimbap, rabokki, sojutini, peach iced tea, mochi ice cream and matcha cheesecake. The dumplings came in the quantity of 6 and they were rich in filling. rabokki is a noodle based dish with a thick saucy consistency, veggies and rice cakes. Dolsot bibimbap is a rice based dish, which they mix and serve in front of you at the table. They also serve kimchi and fried tofu with it. Sojutini and peached iced tea were satisfying drinks. The mochi icecream serves two icecreams in one plate, strawberry and mango. The rice covering was very thin and chewy. The matcha icecream was yet another tasty dessert to try here. In all the food is a little on the sweeter side and a very interesting pallette for people who are new at this. Lastly, they provide chopsticks here so it's always fun!

β β β β β One of my best restaurant going experience, the staff was really courteous and accomadating. The ambience was really well worked. The food was really tasty and well worth the cost in terms of quantity and quality. If you are at this restaurant their tempura and gyoza are worth trying out. Overall I feel the restaurant is really good and anyone who is interested in trying out Japanese and Korean cuisine should visit the place.

β β β β β Firstly there is no parking for the restaurants, parking is on the road at owners risk. After parking we had to walk around 500mtrs to reach the restaurant.
That is about the only negative point.
Ambience 10/10
Food 10/10
Hospitality 10/10
We tried
Rock shrimp tempura, Chicken Kkanpunggi, Non veg Korean ramyun.

β β β β β One of the very few Authentic Korean and Japanese cuisine restaurants in Mumbai (which are not inside 5 star hotels)
Special mention for their Kasu Curry and Omu-rice.
They also have korean BBQ which is a must try if you have a large group. The staff is very helpful and the food turn around time is quick. Would definitely recommend.

β β β β β Origami is an authentic Japanese and Korean cuisine restaurant in Powai. Near Rude Lounge, it has a fantastic location and has a dining area with a scenic view of the hills. The staff was really helpful in introducing the menu, the ambience was brilliant and the food also worth the hype.
Hereβs a list of what all we had:-
We were served pasta and Kim Chi to begin our meal with. The splendid Miso soup which consisted of tofu and spring onion was also delightful.
Chicken Kkanpunggi
Fried chicken marinated in red sauce with condiments and mushroom. The taste is fantastic and absolutely relishing on every bite.
Prawns Tempura Roll
It is the ever favourite Japanese sushi with prawns and tempura used as a filling. Absolutely flavourful and tasty.
Futo Maki
This is a fat rolled sushi with vegetables inside it. It is rice and fillings wrapped in dried, roasted seaweed, and then sliced into smaller bite-sized pieces.
Tempura Moriawase
Another Japanese trend. The Tempuras are delicately coated with shrimps and sweet potato fritters. Really crispy. The one with shrimps had an edge as compared to the sweet potato one which wasnβt bad at all.
Kimchi Bokumbap (kimchi fried rice)
Covered with an egg, the fried rice is one from the Korean cuisine. It also includes vegetables and chicken. A splendid main course after the appetising indulgence.
Green Tea Ice Cream
This dessert was totally new and recommended to us by the Chef. An ice cream with the flavour of green tea. A brilliant ice cream to mark the end of a special meal.
As for the refreshments, we had ordered Virgin Mojitos which was again soothing.
Overall, we had a memorable day at Origami. The manager took us for a tour of the whole restaurant and was extremely kind to us. Look forward to visiting again
