Ozone Swimming Pool - Mumbai

Swimming pools reopened, albeit at half capacity. As the metaphorical starting whistle was tweeted, a stream of members arrived to take a dip in Khar Gymkhana's swimming pool Wednesday morning.

Ozone is one of the best swimming pools around my vicinity, which i believed can be counted as an olympic-size pool with a small toddler pool. This is the best pool for learners as well as for swimmers, who give the reasonable joining yearly tariff, which will cost you around 5700/- (for swimmers)excluding locker charges and 8700/- for learner. Talking about the shower and locker room, this is where they missed the 5 star rating, ozone management seems to have overlooked one important area, less shower cabins and very small locker space. Trainer and lifeguard are well trained for safety perspective. Rest the staffs are very co-operative.

Great place to learn swimming, amazing coach’s, massive and clean pool. They have seating arrangements for parents who have enrolled their kids.

The guy sitting on enquiry counter is extremely rude and has a sarkari Babu attitude.. first he was not sitting in his place and I had to wait for 15-20mn after which I had to go in his search and bring him to counter.. then he asked for exact change of 25rs for the form which I did not have so I told him that I have 100rs but he said I will not give the form until u give me exact 25rs change.. then i asked him if online payment was available.. he again behaved very badly and said everybody arranges the exact change then why can't you... Haven't had such worse experience anywhere in Mumbai... If that continues to behave like this with other potential customers, this place is gonna run out of people soon...

A heads up for all those who are planning to join Ozone Swimming Pool 1) You will have to pay Rs. 40 for the application form 2) You will need a signature/stamp from a medical doctor on your application ( They also specify the name of the medical doctor you can go to , quite strange ) 3) The payment is to be made via cash because their card machine never works. (Photos attached with the details of the payments and batch timings ). Always call and ask before you go to make the payment. 4) For those who know how to swim You will have to give a test before joining where you will have to swim freestyle from one end of the pool to another (breadth) which is about 50m and then while coming back you will have to cycle in between of the pool for about 40 seconds and then swim till the start point. If you cant cycle, they will fail you. If you can't finish, they will fail you. Then you will have to pay coaching fees as well. 5) For those who don't know how to swim The fee is more as you will have to pay for the coaching (Photo attached). Also, if you do not learn how to swim in a months time from your date of joining and you fail the test (Test details mentioned above), you will have to pay around 600 rupees for re-coaching. You will again have to give a test after a months time of re- coaching. So be as regular as you can in the first month at least. 6) As a learner you will only be allowed to swim in your batch (which you can select) , they wont allow you to swim in other batches, but you can always request. 7) 8am - 9am batch is only for the life time members, so you wont be allowed to swim during that time. 8) You can only swim once in a day. You have to pay extra if you want to come again. 9)Swim Costume (Women) -Very Important You cannot have a two piece swim costume whatsoever, even if it has an attachment ( It is mentioned on the application but I already had this costume before I joined) . A lot of people including me, bought a full two piece costume, which is not allowed. The staff kept pointing at my costume everyday, chit chatting amongst themselves about my costume for a week even though it was a full costume . One of the coaches also pointed out and told me that he could see my back (So disgusting - what do men wear ?) and that I had to change what I was wearing, otherwise they wont allow me to swim. I fought back, but at the end I had to change it. Covered or not the costume has to be one piece only. Swimming cap is compulsory 10) Locker charges are not included in the fees, you have to pay separately. (Refer attached photo) 11) For all those who are learning , constantly keep asking your coaches about breathing techniques, exercises, body movements etc. because some of the coaches do not do it voluntarily, you have to ask. 12) I was asked not to apply sunscreen before I enter the pool, apparently it's not allowed. I would request you guys to apply it before you enter the vicinity. 13) Once you pass your test, you will be allowed to swim in any batch you want to apart from 8am-9am. Life becomes much easier when you know or have learned how to swim because you can swim anywhere in the pool and do whatever the hell you want to do. 14) You can park your scooter/bike outside, no charges. 15) Total swim time is only 45 min This is what I have learnt so far and I hope this helps :) Will keep updating if required! Olympic Size... Clean and Beautiful swimming Pool...but crowded too often ....Will bang ur heads if don't see who's coming in front while swimming...not organised....and most weird thing is you cannot use swimming training equipments to train youself Better... very stage my management ?

If you are coming to learn here, think twice. This place is ridiculously rigid with their ridiculous rules. 1) Their batches are divided into hourly slots, and their training time is of 45 mins. However, you only get to utilise 30-35 mins. They don't let you enter the premises 15 mins in advance, even if there is no one from the previous batch and even if the changing rooms are absolutely empty. They don't account for the fact that changing takes about 5-10 mins, which eats into our training time. 2) The batches are overcrowded. They claim that each student gets person attention, which is far from truth. The pool gets overcrowded, and you barely a few minutes of personal attention from the trainer. Also, the changing rooms are small, with limited stalls. If you don't get out of the pool on time, you will have to wait in the overly crowded women's room. 3) This place seems to be living in the 19th century. For women, no two piece swimsuits are allowed. The rule is absolutely ridiculous. I purchased a fully covered two piece swimsuit with a clip attachment, which was also dismissed by the staff. If I have no problem in wearing it, I don't see why the staff should have a problem. My personal experience here has been downright frustrating, and I would not recommend Ozone to anyone, especially those who are coming to learn here.

Ozone has two swimming pool. One for the kids and one for proper swimming. The swimming pool is ozonized and it is well maintained. There are many life guards for the safety of its members. The pool has maximum depth of 18 feet. The pools water is really nice and it is one of the cleanest pools in the locality. As a swimmer one can get yearly membership at 6764/- and for learners it is extra 1000/-. One member has to select one of the batches available and then has to come only during that particular batch only. There is no particular parking space for two / four wheeler so one has to park on the road at their own risk. Locker facility is available at 18/- per day basis or a yearly fee if 720/-.
