★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Let me take a moment to describe my horrible experience with Pankhuri. I was on a Varanasi tour for couple of days and one of my friends recommended this place for saree shopping, which I had to gift to another friend on her marriage. The staff of the this shop is welcoming and warm only once you pay the bill. They will treat you well and show you the options, but once you pay the bill their attitude towards the customers completely changes. They do not care at all what the customer has to say. They asked me to come next day to pick up the saree which they promised to double polish and put the fall and piko. Next day when I called them, firstly they do not take your call seriously and do not genuinely response to you. After that, when I went to pick the saree the next day, they were not at all paying heed to my request for the saree. The saree was not at all polished and it was just folded and kept in a plastic bag with fall and piko. They promise me to double polish the saree, but it was not done at all and frivolous explanations were given to me for not doing it. After spending my hard earned money and paying 3k for a saree which I had to gift to your friend, this is not the experience I will expect. Awful and horrible customer service. This has soiled my expectations of buying saree from Banaras.
