★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice architectural beauty of the old upobon of parswanath digambar. It's a jain holy shrine.
The non violent and peaceful and animal loving community.
Each year on the birthday of the wise and enlightened man the believers held a colourful , but benign procession. They have enough respect to the other religious community and preach love and affection .
Their procession remains well disciplined.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shree Digambar Jain Pareswanath Temple is considered one of the most sacred Jain temple of worship in Kolkata. This temple was built in 1914 and belongs to Diagambar sect. of Jainism. This artistic Nagar style temple, with ornamental pillars and sculptures copied from the old jain temples and caves, casting its shadow in the adjoining tank creates a picturesque scenery. The temple is surrounded by four beautiful gardens. A unique 81 feet high Manastambha (Pillar of pride) with sparking white marble is one of the major attraction of this temple. This temple is dedicated to Parshvanatha, the twenty-third tirthakar of Jainism.The manasthambh made by white colored marble is really attractive. Temple also has a dharamshala equipped with all modern facilities

Presently it is open for Jains others can visit on request to the gate keeper.
It's better to plan for Maniktala Parshwanath temple.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Being in India, a Hindu Rashtra, Hindu Country, Mr Security says Hindus not allowed in the Temple. Didn't allow my 1.5 yrs old baby to just touch the lotus at the gate n come back. Cant be worse. So much discrimination among religion. Did God say Hindus r different than Jains? We r all human, all equal.... Pathetic!
Rating should be 0.
I give a big zero to the Authority!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are travelling to Kolkata must visit the belgachiya Jain Temple.
Stunning piece of architecture with a Serene surrounding and the 4 Manstambh Temple is one of the rare Temple one can seen usually.
I just live the environment the staff is very supportive.
Also you can have food if you are outsider just @rs . 100. Per Jain Thali

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one the best and cleanest temples of this city.the temple is nicely maintained.it belongs to jain community.the garden inside the temple premises is excellent,there is a pond in front of the main temple which is very clean.there is a water fountain and waterfall like structure in the garden.many people came here everyday for 'darshan' there you will see many pigeons on the gate.the security is also tight as there are many policemens inside.for entering the temple you have to remove your shoes in the shoe area.there is no entry fee here.you can spend some quality time here as the place is peaceful and environment is very good.

ParsawanathJain Temple, here only the Jain community are allowed non-other else.
The Temple is open only for Jain Community.
Time 03:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
Zitne bhi Achhe Or sachhi Mann se jao isse koi matlab nhi.
One can alternate visit
1)the Pareshnath Jain Temple (Khanna, Maniktola) and
2) the Main Jain Temple of Kolkata is situated near the Barabazar.
