Kids can make better dal than them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The ambience here always attracts you to come back over and over again. I don't just satisfy my stomach but even my mind.
So since Indian food is my thing so I had love to mention some facts about it.
So here it follows:
Top 10 interesting facts about Indian food
Everyone loves Indian food. Not only people choose Indian restaurants for dining out or a weekend takeaway, it's also favoured by those who cook at home above other classic dishes. In fact, you can say it’s favoured by the whole country as UK celebrates the National Curry Week every October. But how much do you now about Indian food?
Read below article to find out the top 10 interesting facts about Indian food.
1. One in seven curries that are sold in the UK is Chicken Tikka Masala, which makes it the UK’s favourite Indian dish. However, did you know that Chicken Tikka Masala is not actually an Indian dish? It was invented in Glasgow, Scotland!
2. India is called the Land of Spices, because it’s the only country in the world that produces as many varieties of different spices (over 70% of the world’s spices come from India).
3. Potato, tomato and chilli are the staple ingredients of Indian cuisine but did you know that they were brought to India by Portuguese?
4. The first Indian restaurant in England was opened by Sake Dean Mahomed in 1810 in Central London.
5. A typical curry is made of cardamom, blend cinnamon, tamarind, cloves, cumin and garam masala.
6. Naan did not actually come from India. It’s been brought by the Mughals and it has Persian roots.
7. This one is an interesting one. The Indian Food Theory says that our food has 6 different flavours: sweet, salty, sour, bitter, astringent and spicy and a perfect Indian meal should be a balance of all 6 with one or two flavours standing out.
8. Pepper is the most important from all other spices as it goes well with everything.
9. Each region of India uses their own ingredients, spices and cooking methods to create a unique taste.
10. The hottest chilli in the world - bhot jolokia, also called “the ghost chilli” comes from India.
Thanks for reading.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ DONT ORDER OR DINE IN FROM PASHTOON AT ALL.
Absolutely pathetic and tasteless food.
Pashtoon dal- no flavor, no salt, just served boiled dal.
Murgh dum pardah- uncooked chicken.
I don't have words to explain the tastelessness.
It is better to order from a dhabha, u will get guaranteed taste.
Just check out the positive reviews, all are either paid or from frnz & family- just see the pics they have uploaded in the reviews.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ever wondered what happens when you meet a Punjabi friend after so long and ask them to decide what to have for dinner? Well end up ordering North Indian ofcourse.
Luckily Eatino came to the rescue here with amazing quality & quantity of food, and also very good pricing.
We had ordered - Paneer do pyaza, Dal tadka, 2 Laccha paranthas, 1 butter naan, and 5 tandoori rotis, (yep we were hungry) and all of this was prepared well before time so we decided to go pick it up from the outlet instead.
The dal was okayish, the tadka lacked the flavor we were looking for, the panner do pyaza on the other hand was spot on, and the breads accompanying them - soft & crisp.
We really enjoyed the food, and look forward to ordering/have take away soon enough, hopefully, trying out their non veg dishes, the next time around.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered dinner from Pashtoon. They specialize in serving Afghani, Mughlai and North Indian food.
Kastoori Kebab - Succulent pieces of chicken thigh marinated well with cream and cooked with fluffy beaten egg. This was absolutely delicious. This was something unique and is a MUST TRY!!
Kundan Kaliya - Morsels of lamb braised on dum with turmeric and light spices. The curry was light.
Paranth ka Gosht – Chunks of lamb on bone, slow cooked along with ginger, garlic, whole garam masala, onion and deseeded plum tomatoes, coriander stems and a composite grounded masala.
Murgh Mussalam – This was chicken on bone cooked with onion, coriander seeds, poppy seeds, green cardamom, saffron, ghee and keora. Very delicious! MUST TRY!! This went well with both rice and roti.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What initially got me interested in this lovely little place was the name 'Pashtoon'. And true to its name, it turned out to be an absolute cullinary delight.
We were a total of 5 friends and barring me, everybody else was a vegetarian. Now, since Pashtoon food is majorly non-vegetarian, I was wondering how good their vegetarian food would be. And just as I was wondering about it all, my doubts were put to rest by the wonderful food that we ordered and were served with. Before I get onto the actual stuff that we ordered, I'd love to take a moment and really appreciate the young founder couple who stopped by our table, spoke to us about length about the idea behind Pashtoon and patiently answered whatever we asked. Wonderful to meet such passionate, young people who are really into what they are doing, with all their heart and soul. Kudos!
Now, let's get to the real 'business'. The food that we chose to order were the following (not in any particular order though). ?
- Paneer Tikka
- Tandoori fruit chaat
- Tandoori phool
- Seekh e pashtoon
- Peshawari Murg Tikka
- Kundan kaliyan
- Paraat ka gosht
- Dal pashtoon
- Gobhi mussalam
For breads, we majorly ordered their Khameeri roti and Roghani naan. I'm happy to report that the food that we ordered turned out to be nothing short of brilliant! I am not a big vegetarian food lover, but their tandoori phool took my heart away with the taste of the spices and the overall flavour. Needless to say, the non-vegetarian items that I was served were awesome! I totally enjoyed the afternoon that we spent there.
The food, the courteous staff, the place, and ofcourse the discussion session that ensued with the founders - everything was such a delight. I wouldn't only recommend the place but would really love to go back there, just because I don't think anyone else is serving such amazing food here in Delhi-NCR quite as Pashtoon is. ✌️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved the afghani cuisine on offer here. The food was so delicious that i was really licking my fingers. The place is a great takeaway delivery option with 10 ppl seating at the restaurant. The food is amazing ..right from.the chapli kebab to the tikkas and the seekhs..the appetizers were mind blowing. The chef took personal attention to curate the items according to the authentic cuisine. Veg starters like gobhi are great. Loved the chapli kebab and choppan kebabs. The main course like nihari, kundan kaliya and murgh mussalam were awesome..i loved the rogani naan and khamiri roti that was offered.
