No nation can make progress without the growth of technical and professional education. Before independence, technical and professional education was completely ignore by the colonial government after independence of the country, the semi urban and rural areas remained totally indifferent to this aspect of education due to lack of concrete initiative and insufficient financial resources. In 2006, few farsighted and awakened teachers and professional men developed a new vision and an idea of A & M Foundation Society appeared for providing quality and least expensive Technical and professional education to the poor and backward people of Pathankot and its adjoining regions. This idea became a reality under the able guidance and dynamic leadership of Dr. Subhash Mahajan and his worthy colleagues. With the blessings of almighty God, the A & M Foundation Society are moving forward holding the torch of education s glow and aloft. We humbly pray to almighty God to enable us to sincerely and honestly serve the people, society, country and humanity in a decent fruitful and meaningful manner.

Keeping this vision in mind and the persistent need of a co-education college in Pathankot City, A & M Foundation Society was established in year 2006. A & M Foundation Society is running the following institutes:

1. Pathankot College of Education, Pathankot
2. Pathankot Polytechnic College Pathankot
3. Pathankot Private ITI, Pathankot

Under this A & M Foundation Society, firstly Pathankot College of Education was Established in the year 2006 for only (E.T.T), a two year course for under graduate students. This institution laid down the strong foundation of multifarious education activities. In order to fulfill the need of Pathankot and its adjoining areas, the management of Pathankot college of education under the stewardship of Dr. Subhash Mahajan introduced (B.Ed.) one Year Teachers training course in 2007.

In the present highly competitive world only the technical and professional education will create progressive and awakened society. Which will take the nation on the Path of progress and glory. The A & M Foundation Society is just a small step to spark the light of technical and professional education in this educationally and economically backward region.
