It really helped me in recovery from my back pain. I had a muscle contraction causing me not able to move. Since last 2 days I was not sleeping, since I could not lie down. Thank you very much Dr. Mahima for best physiotherapy treatment of cervical spine problem. Since the past couple of years I had been having back pain starting right from the neck area, upper back to the lower back, as well as hamstring problem. Because of this I also had difficulty in getting proper sleep as there was pain, discomfort and uneasiness. The neck pain was immense and radiated towards the left shoulder and left upper arm. And because of the lower back issue I had at times difficulty in standing up straight instantly. I had to get MRI scan done, as prescribed, of cervical spine to know the causes of the pain and complications and on receiving the report I got to know that there's 'diffuse disc bulge with marginal posterior osteophytes... with impingement of left side nerve roots', 'straightening of cervical spine...' I had visited/contacted a number of physiotherapists in the past, however the pain-related issues remained as it was. Medication I had taken which provided temporary relief for a short time. I came to know about GNS Hospital in Chattarpur when searching to find nearby my location a physiotherapy centre along my route. I contacted them and got to know that the hospital has a Physiotherapy Centre and I then had appointment last week for consultation with Dr. Mahima. I briefed to her about the problems and she read the past availed treatment and MRI report of the spine area. She understood the nature/origin of the problem and advised regular exercises for 7 days at the Centre under the Centre's supervision and guidance. Main focus was to be the neck area, the point of origin of the main problem. The neck had to be strengthened and as the neck area was very stiff, stretching exercises was required regularly. Additionally, stretching exercises was required for the upper back and lower back. Dr. Mahima helped me in the exercises during the treatment sessions and taught me the correct way to do the exercises which is to be done at home too. Because of the regular exercise sessions at the Centre, combined with additional medical physiotherapy solutions, the neck stiffness and pain was minimised to quite a great extent and provided the much necessary required relief. Similarly a number of lower back and upper back stretching exercises were done. A systematically planned regular schedule for the exercises at the Centre under the guidance, monitoring and help of the Doctor worked wonders, followed by home exercises as advised. The 7 day treatment sessions have been completed and I feel better than before the first visit. The physiotherapy treatment as planned was much effective.
