Its not big airport but i liked it But he airport his not start i qustion indian goverment how date he start airport?

At this time , Airport is not running because of it's bad and poor conditions . Airport strip or runway is damaged . Government of uttar pradesh should start this old airport and that will increase employment in this region of pratapgarh . this airport was made by east india company for their transportation of goods.

Pirthiganj Airstrip now in tattered condition. It serves no purpose to government since it was used as a open grain storage center during Mayavati's government. Nearby villagers used to play here, some come here to learn car driving, few visits the place for joyriding. Old airstrips like Pirthiganj, Trishundi & near by places should be restored like old days, so that it can be used as a emergency landing purpose by DGCA & AIR FORCE.

As per my late grandfather, this is an abandoned runway that was made by the British during World War-II as a backup of major Royal Airforce stations - just in case they get bombed by the Japanese. Hopefully in near future, such abandoned airstrips would be put in good use, if not for regular airlines, then for autonomous drone operations.

It was Owned by defence years ago but now not in use. It is now used as a road by people for going from pirthiganj ( shankar ganj) to mullapur. It is the best place for walking & exercise in pirthiganj. The side of it is used as a ground for running by persons preparing for indian army.this proves to be a lucky ground for boys for getting selection in indian army. It needs to be repared as there are many cracks on the runway . though it is damage but helicopter can land here very easily. Now a days people come here from other places for learning driving & flying kites mostly in the summer season. Up government should think on it. Either repair it & use as airport or Change it to a beautiful park this will give a huge attraction in the area.
