★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fact based review from Students, if you write a a bad review on hostel you wont get back your deposit amount, this are th words which are quoted from the rector in the hostel, Rector (VILANI) is the person who things that his stand is always right and students are always wrong , and if you argure more with him, he will call your local guardian and tell all unnecessary and inrelevant things, after getting complaints for the rector from last 2 years the managements still finds him good and doesnt take any action against him you can see the lasr few reviews for it, if you dnt attend the prayers which are conducted daily your local guardian will be called for it, if rector's nephew doesnt attend the prayers then no action from any person in the hostel, the mess food is available at cheap rate but the food quality is not to the marks also, for rector the maharaj cooks different food and he is been served differently, this is not done on the days when the management arrives at hostel, one good example for food i can narrate is that if aloo paratha is made then a paratha with more stuffing will be made for rector and for students the stuffing will be minimum.rector comes to mess to eat only when management arrives at hostel or else he calls the mess people and get the food served in his own room, is this the rule of hostel, the lift in the hostel in only a show case, which is only used to showoff when the pokar parivar meeting are held , the famous dialoque which students here from rector is " SANSTA KA HAI " the looks of hostel are extra ordinary but inside in there are 'N' number of politics taking place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hostel surrounding n campus is good but the rector and mainly the food which is considered as the backbone of the hostel is not upto the mark. Hostel management should note that and I being a resident of this hostel request u that plz think about the rector n food,plz don’t give first preference to this hostel

This review is provided on the basis of comparison between this hostel and other options available in the market.
1.Cost-
It costs you Rs. 60000/- a year. This cost includes residential services, food and other basic necessities. Bifurcation of this cost is as follows :-
Residential services : 40000/-
Food service : 15000/-
Maintenance charges : 5000/-
2. Accommodation:
Hostel premises is as good as it should be. You are provided with one bed, a cupboard, a table, a chair, a pillow and a blanket. Pillow covers, blankets and bed sheets are washed once a month. Room gets cleaned every week. It's quiet most of the time so you can actually study without having joined library.
3. Food:-
You will hear both good and bad reviews about the food. And generally they both are right. Reasons being, first is that everyone has different taste and what one likes, others may not like it. But mainly it's because the Chef(Maharaj Ji) . Taste depends apon chefs mood here. It's not like he can't cook good food or he's not been provided with good material. It's just he gets lazy now and then. He cooks great meal when he has to on the occasion like when the committee members are visiting.
But with all this, with my experience in both out and in this hostel.. It's better food here than outside, especially at this price. They charge Rs. 15000 a year for food provided to you 3 times a day. So if you work calculations it cost you Rs. 15 per meal. If you are living outside you'll barely get a breakfast at this rate. But it doesn't mean it has to be bad. Improvements can be made.
4.Rector:
Rector here is hated so much for he does his job. But he does gets carried away with authority given to him. He is strict as he should be. But sometimes he forgets his limits.
5.Overall Experience :
This place would cost half than you would have to spent for places other than this place providing same services. If the cook and rector are bought to their senses and if they are being realized of their duties then this place would definitely flourish and could the best place for students.
I would suggest to the hostel committee that they shuffle both rector and the Maharaj Ji twice a year. That's the only way they can assure the quality.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am current resident of this hostel and have been living here since 3 years.. Here's my very honest reviews about this hostel..
My 1st and 2nd year experience was I could say pretty average. Hostel provides great facilities like hot water, sports, and rooms are in best conditions but at the same time food quality was below average and rector was strict af and rude.. Now things have changed.. Thanks to trustee of this hostel.. Management had meetings with residents.. They listened to our concerns and did some serious changes.. Food quality has improved.. Rector is also kind to us now.. Cleanliness and security is top notch.. Now I can say that considering the fees this hostel is probably the best hostel for gujarati students.. I am in final year of my college and this would probably be my last year here in this hostel.. I'm sure that I'm gonna miss this place later..

Rooms are very spacious ,prayer hall ,parking area, dining area and much more.
Fees is low as compared to other hostel with same facilities
So any one interested then pls take admission it will be good journey

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I left hostel 3 years ago and I was a student in the hostel for 5 years since when hostel came into commission, This being an honest review from an ex student, mess food and rector (Gangaram Velani) was very bad, but still accomodation is excellent and other students are very nice, cooperative. Have lots of memories with that place.
