★ ★ ★ ★ ★ अम्बा पुलिस स्टेशन आज प्रखण्ड कार्यालय के बगल में बटाने नदी किनारे अपने भवन में चल रहा है । अम्बा थाना आज से पच्चीस-तीस साल पहले थाना कुटुम्बा के तहत पुलिस चौकी हुआ करता था । आबादी बढने के साथ चौकी को थाना में बदल दिया गया । बहुत पहले यहां का थाना नबीनगर हुआ करता था । आज भी नबीनगर सर्किल आफिस बना हुआ है और सर्किल इंस्पेक्टर के निरीक्षण में ही अम्बा, कुटुम्बा इत्यादि रखे गये हैं । चौकी के रुप अम्बा के हरिहरगंज रोड में अरुण पांडे (वकील) के मकान में इसकी शुरुआत हुई । फिर यह आज के पीएनबी के सामने एरका के पांडेजी के मकान में चला गया । इसके बाद यह सतबहिनी मंदिर के नजदीक ग्राम पंचायत भवन में अस्थायी रुप से चला । अब यह देव रोड के अपने स्थायी भवन में आ गया है । ... अम्बा थाना झारखंड की सीमा पर तथा हाइवे पर स्थित होने के कारण काफी कमाऊ थाना माना जाता है । दारोगा अपनी पोस्टिंग करवाने के लिए लालायित रहते हैं । कुछ अपवादों को छोङ दें तो थानाध्यक्ष अपने जातिगत आधार पर काम करते देखे गये हैं जो बिहार, यूपी का आम चलन है ।
