★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I haven't visited Ms Sethi yet (and *I WOULD LOVE TO*), but the charges 3600 for 15 mins (and up) seem exorbitant. I'm certain she is great, her work gets featured in airlines magazines - which is all a testament to the accuracy of her work!!
That being said, most people operating in this domain start with an intent to help people which is clubbed with an operationalizing cost to sustain a business (all of which is fair).
However, keeping that intent in mind, often times - doctors, therapists, lawyers, healers provide something known as a sliding scale in terms of billable time for their service (based on the client's pocket size, whether they're a student, maybe a single parent - only very specific exceptional cases)
Understanding not every client qualifies for "Pro-Bono" (and should not), there should be a sliding scale to include people outside of the "standard rate card". Again, this isn't for everyone just for a few genuine cases (definitely not the free loaders and cheapies out there). I understand that most people going in for this are dealing or struggling with a situation, hence it becomes hard to filter and categorize people as to who pays what.
Which is where an option of a 'Sliding scale' along with a standard rate card works for a business's goodwill. It shows that the establishment is not all about commercials but also puts its heart into what it does.
