★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Restaurant is unassumingly humble. More than the ambience, the absolutely delicious food speaks for itself. And the food does shout out aloud!!! So Yummyyyyy!!!Every dish is a piece of art...painstakingly created to retain the authetic South Indian flavors. The filter coffee is amazing and theu curate it just the way you want it. The Bisebele Bhat is textured with layers of flavours that create magic on every palate

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They have increased their prices so much post 2021 to recover pandemic losses. In that price you can have a good meal at a decent dine in restaurant in Fort. On top of that they do not serve food in the stanless still plates and rather using paper boxes citing the reason of shortage of staff. Staff is short but prices have increased? Do not understand this mathematic. The Medu wada was stale and was prepared in the morning and serves to us in the evening. The price of masala dosa is ₹85 which is as equal to as any decent restaurant with dine in option. The place is very congested with only 3-4 tables cramped in a tiny place. The recent increase in prices does not do justice to the tiny place in which customers have to eat the food. The quality has also gone down drastically.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Doubtlessly the best South Indian restaurant in South Mumbai (any place South of Dadar), and probably the best in Mumbai too, providing some stiff competition to the Matunga big-wigs. Poornima restaurant has been dishing up simple, healthy, hygienic, economical, yet tasty fare for more than half a century now. Their daily brunch and lunch specials like coconut sevai, bisibele bhaath, pongal-avial, and many others ensure enough variety for the week to make you crave for more. Of course, their South Indian thali for less than 100 rupees, is by far the best VFM meal that you could ever get in the business district of Mumbai. The place is big enough to have two exclusive areas for lunch thalis - the mezzanine level and the top floor. Fulfilling, yet not overpowering, the thali is guaranteed to satisfy your taste buds as well as your hunger. No write-up on Poornima can end without the worthy mention of their authentic filter coffee, made strong upon prior request, which is the perfect breakfast accompaniment to the Idli & Vada Sambars and Misal Pavs!!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Around this vicinity this is the best south indian hotel that we could find. I entered here with some doubts but after having idli, vada and sambar I felt convinced. Don't expect parking or great ambiance though. Rating is purely given for taste and cleanliness. It's a self service and there are few sitting areas and standing as well. Coffee is must have here.

Specially famous for south Indians food.Quality of food is great.Staff is very good..You have to take coupons of your meals before having your meal.The restaurant have two floors for dining in..I have uploaded photos of second floor.
