★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This newly opened passport seva kendra is a relief to Navi Mumbai residents. The staff is efficient. As it caters to less number of applications per day, it was really quick and hasselfree when I went there. I was free in 15 minutes. SMS registration (₹50 extra) facility is not available at this center, but you can track status anytime online or on mPassport mobile App. Though I haven't registered for SMS, I received SMS when passport got dispatched. So no drawbacks at all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It took more than 2hours because of internet issues. But without the internet issue, it takes 20minutes. Please carry printouts of every application form and extra copies of proof of identification (since this is a post office unit, they need it even if the website says not required) and first and last page copies of passport as well. There is a xerox place 10min away (across the main road) so please carry necessary printouts much in advance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Starts at 9.30. We came for the renewal of our kids(minor) passport renewThe procedure is systematic. First coming to the passport kendra, take an appointment online. First step at the centre is to scan all the documents, second desk you will have the details entered and photo is taken.. Third desk is to check and verify the documents by the officer. Whole procedure takes 15-20 mins. If you are coming for kids passport, make sure both the parents come. It is on the first floor. You will receive the passport within 45 days at your residence.

It is small 2 room unit, bang opposite to Toilet.. Stinking.
waiting room can accomodate 10 adults-- but why broken chairs arent fixed is not clear.
paper check happens -- sometime rudely-- based on mood
now it is boiling hot in summer.. only fans cools .
under staffed and stressed.. servers were hanging leading to over crowding..something which Ministry should fix urgently.
FOR UNKNOWN REASON--- my pass port work.. REISSUE matter.. file has not moved for 1 week out of collection camp... and it is more than ten days.. total 15 days now.. don't know when it will be cleared by PassPort Officer desk.
I am sure with experience at THANE PSK.. it would have cleared in 2 hours and i would have recieved in 2 days...unbelievable --- but true.
The efficiency is unbelieable to be Indian.
vashi passport office transport me to 20years back Government work office...sad..but I regret to say.. kindly dont go here . If you have to get your passport in urgency..go to Thane PSK ...

We were having appointments of 11.00 am and we were out by 11.05 am post successfully completing the process.
Passport office is on first floor of Post office.
Original plus one set of Xerox of below mentioned document were required
1.Adhaar
2.Birth certificate
3.Marriage Certificate for Married
4.Marksheet
For parking, one can park the vehicle adjacent to post office boundry wall as there is provision to park based on Even and Odd day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Work will happen quickly but they will not send your docs to Rpo Mumbai for atleast a month or two and ur application will be pending... I have submitted docs in Nov 2021 still not received reissued passport and status is just docs submitted nothing has move forward.
So for quick processing please visit Thane PSK.
Vashi psk Not recommended at all.. go at ur own risk.. if u r Willing to wait for ur passport for 4-6 months.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They witll take your documents and tell you everything is done in like 10 mins. But they won't submit your documents to Passport Office for months, and your application would remain pending for long long time. They won't even provide you sms service registration to know the passport application status. GO TO THANE PASSPORT OFFICE where a re-issue of passport takes place in 24 hours. The very next day you will get re-issued passport at home. Don't go to this pathetic place where documents will remain without processing for months.
Regarding parking place, yest, there are odd and even road adjacent parkings, however, Don't be surprised if your bike is towed even if you park it as per these banners. You will find No parking banners next to even odd days parking signs. The place is ridiculous really

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited this place for renewing as well as applying for fresh passport. The total procedure takes 15-20 mins. First of all a Post office person will check your all application docs for any error. Then 2nd step is original varification and finally,3rd step- data entry, photography and finger print registration. The final documents you've to submit again to the 2nd desk. Very systematic and helpful faculty. Parking is available on the side road on odd-even basis. PSK is at first floor. Toilet is available but don't expect a clean one. Quick and effective facility.
