We are a proprietorship firm. From 1997 till September 2006, Proprietor Ramesh Kumar Kapur was promoter and CEO of AVK-SEG (India) Power Ltd.
SEG is known in the power industry as pioneer in development, design and manufacturing of electrical controls and protection system for electrical power generation and distribution.
3 phase, brushless synchronous alternators from AVK Germany are popular with all engine and turbine manufacturers worldwide.
With acquisition of AVK by Cummins and SEG by Woodward in 2006, Power Solutions was born. Manpower working for AVK-SEG (India) Power Ltd, came under Power Solutions umbrella and expertise built locally during 9 years of operation of AVK-SEG in India got induced in to Power Solutions.
Since its inception in 1997, AVK-SEG India Power Ltd carried out design, supply, installation, supervision, commissioning and product support of all electrical equipments for following projects:
- 1 x 7.5MW & 1 x 5MW, 11kV HFO Captive Power Plant synchronized with grid support in 1998-99/2004 for National Steel and Agro Industries, Indore .
- 4 x 7.5MW, 11kV HFO Auto synchronized and auto load shared IPP, at Kasargod, Kerla for Kasargod Power Corporation in 2001..
- 1 3.8MW 11kV HFO based Captive Power Set auto synchronized and load shared with existing 2 x 3MW Wartsila – ABB DG Sets and 220kV grid in 2001 for International Technology Park Ltd Bangalore.
- 1 x 3.985MW HFO based Captive Power Plant auto synchronized and load shared with existing 5MW Gas Gen Set at Garden Verily Surat in 2002-03.
- 3 x 2.647MW HFO based Captive Power Plant, auto synchronized and load shared for Cosmo Films, Aurangabad in 2003.
- 1 x 6MW, and 1 x 3.2MW HFO based Captive Power Plants for Videocon Surat and JCT Surat, auto synchronized and grid parallel operation in 2003-04.
- 13 x 7.5MW IPP synchronized with grid, forming 97MW Independent Power Plant for Sri-Lanka in 2004-05.
Since 2006 Power Solutions has been active in:
- Application based engineering, design, built, installation and commissioning of control, synchronizing and load management system for prestige customers in India and abroad.
- Design, build, install & commission protection system for Power Generation and Distribution networks.
- Trouble shooting complex generation problems and providing solutions.
- Repairs and services of heavy electrical equipment, synchronous generators and motors.
- Supply spares such as AVR, surge suppressors and rotating rectifiers for synchronous generators.
- Design, build, supply and commission Static Excitation panels.
