Prabhat Tara School, Muzaffarpur is a Catholic Minority school founded and managed by the members of the International Catholic Women Religious Congregation known as Sisters of Mercy of the Holy cross. This Congregation was founded in Switzerland in the year 1856 by Fr. Theodosius Florentini OFM Cap. And Mother Maria Theresa Scherer. The members of this Congregation work in almost all the Continents- America (North & South), Africa, Europe and Asia. The Motto of the Congregation is "The Need of the Time is the will of God". The sisters started to function in India in the year 1894. Keeping the motto in mind the sisters have established centers in 18 states in India, responding to the invitations of different societies and organizations. School is also not up to the mark as it was the best school in town. For girls it is for class 112. But mostly it is known for class 10. For boys it is not a perfect school cauz it is only for class 5 for boys.
