Pracheen Hanuman Mandir, CP is one of the oldest Hanuman Temple in India, is situated at Baba Kharak Singh Marg in Connaught Place, New Delhi. It is an ancient Hindu temple of Shri Dakshin Mukhi Bal Hanuman and is one of the temples of Mahabharata days in Delhi.
- This temple has Swayambhu (self appeared) murti of lord hanuman in childhood form seeing south also known as `Dakshin Mukhi Hanumanji`.
- Pandavas first built the temple of Self appeared Murti after Won the war of Kurukshetra. Later, the temple had been reconstructed in late seventies by Raja Man Singh of Amber and after renovated by Raja Jai Singh of Jaipur.
- Tulsidas Also Visited This Holy Place During Hanuman Chalisa Hymns in 16th Century.
- 24-hour chanting of the mantra ‘Sri Ram, Jai Ram, Jai Jai Ram’, has been going on in the temple since August 1, 1964. This continuous chanting has been recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Religious people must visit if they are in Delhi. Very beautiful Hanuman Temple in the heart of Cannaught Place. The Simhasan of presiding deities is made of gold. The main deity in center of Simhasan is Lord Ram, Mata Sita and Laxman ji.
There is a Shiva and Ganesha Temple too nearby.
It's a famous temple in localities. Many fevotees visit this Hanuman temple for blessings throughout the day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well known Hanuman temple of Connaught Place and quit accessible through the main road many people visit on Tuesday and seems to be crowded on Tuesdays mostly. Had been hearing about it since ages, my father told me he visited this temple 40 years ago and it was just a small temple with a Hanuman figure then and looks so huge in our recent visit.

Apart from lord hanuman, multiple deities are also worshipped here including, shri ram (darbar), radha krishna, durga, shiv etc. This place is full of positive energies and one can cleanse his/her soul just by spending few minutes here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is such a nice & religious place for the devotees of lord Hanuman. Not only Hanuman,here you can find other gods & goddess statue as well. And yaa it's open till midnight..... around 11-12 PM you can easily find vendors selling Prasad & tea outside the temple. There are lots of cafe/restuarant to hangout.

I might be biased as I love this place so much that at times I have flown from.Bamgalore to Delhi in the mornings just for a day to visit this temple and have been back in the evening. This is a powerful place.. for me, it is much more spiritual than religious and an epitome of positivity. This temple has withstood numerous invasions since historical times... If legends are to be believed, this was not touched by any of the foreign invadors because of the crecent moon on its dome. Nevertheless, temples are personal choices and people find solace in temples of their own choice. I find solace here and this place keeps pulling me towards itself again and again.
If you are visiting from airport, take the airport express metro from T3 or aerocity and get down at Shivaji park station from where you can walk down to this place. If taking the Delhi metro blue line, get down from gate 8 at Rajiv chowk and walk to baba kharag Singh Marg and this place is just after Mohan Singh place/Tivoli theater.
The place is neat and clean and very easily accessible. Great to have a visit.
