For photography it is best place.. reaching here is little difficult.. you can do picnic over there.. now a days police will not allow you to enter in nit jamshedpur.. but say them that you are going to asangi village.. don't say you are going to jhilingbeda dam.. you will find wood for fuel over there..and it is very good place for bath too..enjoy

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Its sad to say that the dam has been destroyed by some of the peoples for there profit. The sand has been exploited and due to that the water level has also decreased. The river side sand has been taken out from there since a year and the authorities are just getting there money to shut there mouth. It use to be a beautiful place earlier ans the travelling route too wss good

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a pretty good place. It's divided into two parts. 1 with low water level. Hip level of a 5'5 man. Other one is the real deal. Can't tell how deep but a 6'4 guy can easily drown there. Good for swimming if you know how to swim tho I'll not recommend it as the dam is pretty big and deep.
For normal soaking and chilling and ofcourse the view, it's a very good place. Me and my friends took a dip this morning and it was fun.
If only the depth was in an order, we could've went deeper but there are holes and you can just sink in. Like one time the water is just toll your shoulders and all of a sudden you're deep inside the water. So that's why not recommended for Non-swimmers. The deep part ofcourse.
Even the people who don't know swimming can enjoy the other part of the dam.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful place,those who love nature,definitely they will be liking it.The jungle through which you hv to reach the dam is full of jungle berries ( in hindi bair),scenic beauty is too good.You can reach there by car,u hv to keep ur car just 150 metres from the dam.During rainy season route becomes very muddy- winter is the best time to visit

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An extraordinary curve of river Kharki ,along with check dam. A man made waterfall is created by the dam . You can cross the river barefooted or, with your bike on its lower side. On the other hand ,you can bath and take the feeling of a swimming pool on its upper side.
