BRIEF HISTORY OF THE GROUP
Pragati Papers Industries Limited was incorporated in the year 1990 and now mainly engaged in the business of manufacturing of Newsprint paper. The Group has more than 28 years of presence in this line of activity. The paper manufacturing initially started with “Duplex & Coated Duplex Board” manufacturing facilities under “Pragati Paper Mills Limited” at Sahibabad. Subsequently, accessing the market needs and trend, the group has ventured in “Newsprint Segment” by setting up “Newsprint” manufacturing facilities in the name of “Pragati Papers Industries Limited” in the year 1990. Later, during 2003-2004 the Company has set up a new plant at Handesra, Punjab State with an annual capacity of 75000 M.T.
