β β β β β With almost 8 decades of defining Legendary hospitality, Pritam Restaurant has been a landmark and culinary icon since 1942. The elegant vibe makes the food more interesting!
The birthplace of Butter Chicken in Mumbai, Pritam is synonymous with Butter Chicken, but it is so much more than that.
Pritam also houses the iconic Pritam da Dhaba, an alfresco dining spot, unlike anything the city has ever seen before. A true oasis in a bustling metropolis, the Dhaba will transport you from Mumbai straight to a humble village in Punjab.
Let's talk about the dishes I tried here.
- Karari Roti: Crispy romali roti dusted with masala makes a great start to the meal. Pair it with a glass of cocktail, and it just sets up the mood.
- Chukundar ki gulati: Melt in mouth beetroot Kebab. Tastes just yum
- Tandoori aloo: It's a great starter for veg lovers. It tasted really good
- Paneer Tikka: Soft tender paneer grilled to perfection. ??
- Chicken Lapeta Kebab & Chicken Malai Kebab: Both were grilled to perfection and for soft & crisp.
- Paneer Makhni: Soft paneer pieces in a delicious Gravy, melts in mouth like magic.
- Dal Makhni: Fresh & creamy, this was the best for veg main course.
- Purani Dilli Shaan Au Shaukat: The classic, the original BUTTER CHICKEN. It tasted the best of all. Boneless pieces smoked in tandoor, marinated in yogurt, the best scrumptious butter chicken ever. YOU JUST CANNOT MISS THIS!!
- Butter Chicken: Soft tender chicken pieces in buttery gravy, the modern style. It was way too delicious.
- Gulab Jamun: Hot, fresh and soft. The perfect dessert to end the meal!
Cockatils:
Fenel fresh (gin based) & Karri on vodka: Both were presented beautifully & were very refreshing ?
Overall, a great place to chill & spend time with family & friends β¨

β β β β β This place has my heart. It's located in the main area of Dadar and it's an iconic place. Having eaten at so many indian restaurants, I can vouch that this place has the best authentic Punjabi food. The cocktails and mocktails are fab.. esp the kala khatta one. The starters are nice too. But the best part is the main course.. the sabzis, roomali rotis, chura Paratha and the signature dal makhani is just too good. Of course not to forget the Karari roti. This will always remain my go to place for authentic Indian food.

Finally visited this Iconic Restaurant in Dadar and I was surprised with myself that how could I have not visited this place till now. They are the pioneers of bringing Butter Chicken to Mumbai.
We started with their Signature Karari Roti which was so delicious and crispy, we instantly fell in love with it. Loved the Chcikent Galouti and Shami Kebabs, they were spectacular. I was lucky enough to visit during their Winter Specials and I got to try the original Butter Chicken recipe and it was mind-blowing. I am definitely coming back for this.
We ended our lovely meal with Punjabi Lassi and Gajar ka Halwa. A perfect ending to our amazing experience.

β β β β β This place is quite a vibe. We had our dinner at the dhaba and not the restaurant. The dhaba is an outdoor sitting arrangement under Mango trees on the khaat. Itβs a good experience. A bit costly but considering I think that should be okay. The food was yummy. Staff is good.

β β β β β I am going to start with how stunning the
ambiance of this place is, the open air Dhaba which is a huge hit in the evenings has my heart. The live kitchen, music, lights, decor and seating are all perfected to match the theme of the restaurant.
The food here was delicious too, we tried a bunch of the items like Karari Roti (an absolute must), perfect appetizer to begin with.
We loved the paneer tikka, it was melt in the mouth soft and just the right amount of flavours. Do not forget to pair it with the green chutney (you will keep asking for refills, I promise!)
For the main course, we were very clear that we had to try the dal makhani cos we'd heard some good reviews and we were not disappointed at all! Dal Makhani and Jeera rice are a combination you cannot miss! We emptied the serving bowl to the last bite. We also tried the Kadai paneer which was again a good addition.
We recommend the litchi blast mocktail and the Gulab Jamun for desserts.
Overall, quite a good experience. I definitely recommend a visit for the ambiance, especially cos finding a Dhaba right in the heart of Mumbai is a challenging task!

β β β β β Who doesn't know about this legendary Dhaba/Resturant!!
Have visited this place multiple times with family & friends! Place that is serving lip smacking North Indian food since ages! If you want that real dhaba style food and feel and you haven't yet visited this place then you must plan a visit real soon! Fine dine AC section and open air dhaba style seating both are available! Excellent service and polite staff!
We tried few tandoor appetizers, signature Dal makhni, paneer tawa masala and mocktails! They are serving good quality along with great taste and portion size! All their dishes can be easily shared amongst three people!
Junglee Paneer Tikka, one of the best appetizer from their menu with fresh and soft paneer chunks marinated so well and grilled to perfection. Bit on Spicer side but tastes really good!
Kadak Roti! This is definitely a must try and should be the first order. Crisp Rumali roti washed with butter and topped with chilli powder, chaat masala and fresh coriander! Perfect punch of tanginess and spices in every bite! Definitely a must try.
Tandoori Mushrooms! Well we all have tried Mushrooms at many places but here you will get fresh juicy Mushrooms directly cooked in an earthy oven and washed with little butter and topped with some chaat masala. No marination, simple mushrooms, Different and Delicious!
For the mains we had Paneer tawa masala with laccha paratha and tandoori roti! Paneer tawa masala gravy was really spicy with perfect red texture. Loaded with grilled paneer cubes. In deed dhaba style North Indian food!
We also tried Dal makhni with jeera rice! Slow cooked dal with lots of butter on top and perfectly creamy consistency. It was melting in mouth. Perfectly paired with well cooked soft long grain rice tossed in generous amount of butter.
To complete this amazing meal we ordered Shahi tukda in the end and it was loaded with goodness of ghee, dry fruits and thick Rabdi!
Overall, one of the legendary places in Mumbai serving some really good quality and delicious North Indian food since decades! Polite and welcoming staff with excellent service. What else is needed for a great meal with family or friends! We really had a great time dining at this place.

β β β β β Love the vibe. We chose to sit in the outdoor area which had a.good ambience in every way. The experience was well balanced in terms of music volume being enough to enjoy the music as well as have a conversation without shouting, good decor and comfort. Service is great and waiters are kind. Food suggestions were great too. I only have photo of dessert as i was enjoying the moment being with colleagues. Seating is tradition, on a charpai and spaced such that you aren't really overhearing others. Food is well cooked and not overly oily I'd definitely recommend this place for a family of group of friends or even couples. Highly recommended.
