★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Too many agent which is a very regular fovia of a govt office. Once it was the main vehicle office of wb but now it's a office of specific region about middle Kolkata. Other three offices are at Kasba, Salt lake and Behala. Now it's headed by the Additional Director. This office covers Driving license, Registration of a vehicle, Road Tax, Permit etc. The office follows the central motor vehicle acts and rules of the SOFTWARE VAHAN 4. You can find your vehicle in the software vahan.nic.in. The office is directed by the Director at Kasba of the Bhaban of PARIBANBHABAN 2 just opposite of the Passport office. However now Driving license is conducted through online SARATHI.GOV.IN OR PARIBAHAN.GOV.IN. All forms you can download according to the subject in CMVR. The office is located at the Sarat Bose Road, near Ballygounge PS or David Hare Training College or Ballygounge Govt High School or South Calcutta Girls College or the Shishumangal Hospital near metro station Netaji Bhaban.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Improvement since Jan 2018. No more typical government office crowd. Gave my learners license online test within an hour.
The reason is that most of the calcuttans are pushed to their respective RTOs.
Update: Gave my Driving test this week and it was done within 2 hours (for both 4 wheeler and 2 wheeler). Didn't need to queue because i had done my processing through a registered rto agent .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Number of agent their! Buildings are not maintained well. Like a government bank eg. SBI, link not available (personally this is happened to me at the biometric counter).
On duty Sir at Online LL test was very polite and helpful.

But I feel online process is simple. If we have proper documents then the process goes smoothly.
