Pune Darwaza: - This is the gate to the north of the fort. There are three doors in a row on the Pune side. The third door is of Yadav period.

The Pune Door(पुणे दरवाजा) can be considered to be the main entrance to the Sinhagad Fort (किल्ले सिंहगड) today. This is because most of the people who visit the fort today come from the Pune side of the fort and if you drive a vehicle to the top of the fort, this will be the gate which you enter through. The build quality of this gate seems to be strong and rigid, given that it is one of the very few structures on the fort that has withstood the ravages of time. There are actually 2 doors labelled Pune Door 1(पुणे दरवाजा १) and Pune Door 2(पुणे दरवाजा २) which you come across when you enter the fort.

There are two Pune doors which are basically entry gates of the Sinhagad fort. This mighty fort has stood the test of time and still stands tall amidst the stunning mountain ranges and green hills. The sylvan surroundings are a treat to watch from the summit of the rustic, mighty fort. Quite a lot of viewpoints to admire nature's beauty. The growing city of Pune is clearly visible. Gets very crowded, especially in the weekends. Even the big parking space runs out of space quickly. Entry is free and the journey is priceless.
