★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Am a regular user of Shivneri for going from Pune to Mumbai, and now have moved to Purple travels.
Pros
- While booking tickets online they offer a discount of 10% at least.
- They have a call center that is pretty professional - comparable to what Yatra and the guys have (they pick up the phone and address queries unlike other travel guys)
- Bus quality is decent
- Staff has a dress code
But above all, the bus is punctual. If they say pick up will happen at 8:25 AM it does happen by that time. They don't waste time unnecessarily like Neeta and others who take you all through Pune and keep waiting for passengers.
Overall, only Shivneri had been reliable and timely when traveling from Pune to Mumbai. I think if Purple guys maintain quality for another 6 months or so, they could give a tough fight to Shivneri.
Cons
- Website booking doesn't list all the drop points(it only has pick up points) so need to check on red bus all the drop points
- They stop longer on their last stop in Pune to pick up passengers which is an irritant
- Confirmation SMS does not have bus cleaners phone number
- No maps setting to track bus location
This review has been done after 6 rides on

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The buses usually don't travel on time. They don't reach the bus stops on time. So I recommend on keeping 15mins on hand either way. When it comes to safety, no issues there, so I guess it's an okay service.
