We have opted "Tarkarli tour package" for konkan sighseeing. That includes pickup and drop service from home to home. A tour from Pune to Konkan in a private Car(Innova), Transportation went good(5/5), Driving was good, at normal pace we were going, overall journey to Konkan went good so far. Now comes the scary part, which we have not even imagined on our wildest dreams. Fasten your seat belt and get ready to experience the horror. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- The hotel we stayed in was HOTEL PRIDE, in Konkan which was included in our package. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- We were 6 people and as one knows it gets conjusted in car to sit for a long hours. now, we were expecting to reach to hotel as soon as possible and as we reached there we were told to wait for 10 mins since ROOM CLEANING was getting done, 10 MINS OF WAITING TURNED INTO 30 MINS and finally we were told that our rooms are ready, 3 ROOMS WE HAVE BOOKED, and after we arrived at hotel they started cleaning. Charming! ~ ROOM CONDITION : A/C remote was not working at first so we could not be able to adjust temprature as per our convience, 3 out of 2 ROOMS had this issue. In our room there were 4 bulbs, as we have tried to turn on light at the same moment TWO bulbs failed and ROOM GOT HALF DARK,WE FELT LIKE AS IF WE'RE LIVING IN A DUNGEON. when i complainted their manager told me this, "Since, we experience electricity issue very often, it is best that you adjust with just two bulbs for now." Bulbs didn't get changed, after requesting for multiple times. ~ ROOM SERVICE: Every morning we have to go to reception and call for room cleaning, like they have hired us to do their job. NO SERVICE GOT PROVIDED UNLESS WE ASK FOR IT. No water, refeshments, room cleaning, towels, have been provided, we had to ask for it each and every time we wanted something. Like they don't know what they are doing. ~ STAFFS' BEHAVIOR If you will request them something, they will take it in ignorant way, or counterquestion your needs instead of helping you to solve it. When i asked for room cleaning they told me that cleaner is not available he'll come in the evening and we have to wait for it till he comes, what rubbish. ~ ELECTRICITY Name me one hotel that doesn't use generator when electricity goes out. "THIS HOTEL DOES NOT DO THAT" Yes, we have experienced this in the middle of the night for 2 DAYS ~ FOOD Hotel's food service gets from Good, Bad to Ugly. On the very FIRST DAY we had good breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast (4/5) Lunch(3/5) Dinner(4/5) SECOND DAY We have specifically mentioned that we prefer VEG FOOD, Still hotel did not take care of it hence we need to search food in local market for lunch. Now things started going bad at dinner, when we asked for more indian bread and curry, cook has told us staright in our face that "THERE IS NO MORE FOOD" Didn't even apologised. We had to sleep half stomach at that night :( Breakfast (3/5) Lunch(2/5) Dinner(1/5) THIRD DAY, On the third day, we had to leave early in the morning and to my surprise no one was available at the desk to even greet us. we just put our keys and swore that we will not come back to this hotel again. PLEASE NOTE - If you have reached till the end, then i want to suggest you to please make sure to ask your travel planner for the hotel name and reviews before you invest your hard earned money in any package. We had opted for Astavinayak Tour package (shastrod Darshan) 2 nights & 3 days . All the arrangements including accommodation, tour vehicle and all 3 meals of the day were superb. Staff is very cooperative and active till the finish of Tour and guidelines given by staff is very good and helps to manage tour smoothly and time saving also. Many many thanks to Prasanna Purple for providing such a great package which will be remembered life time and will also connect with you in further trips planning.
