It offers undergraduate courses in arts, commerce and sciences. It is affiliated to University of Burdwan.The college is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).It was accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council(NAAC), and awarded B++ grade, an accreditation that has since then expired.

It is situated amid a green and calm atmosphere-'far from the madding crowd'. But, you've to walk for about 15-20 minutes from Champadanga Bus Stand to reach this college. Vehicles like e-rickshaw and magic vans are also available to reach the place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nicely located rural college situated far away from the Bus stand, but in a calm quite lush green environment, infrastructure and buildings are not so good with vast campus and adjoining playground also a big pond. The college started its journey in the year 1971and since then the college is imparting knowledge and education to the students of Bachelor degree Arts,Science and commerce courses and all the courses are affiliated to the Burdwan University, also the college is accredited by NAAC with B++grade . The college campus is accessible to all sorts of vehicles through the main gate.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited after 19 years,still the same,buildings are not renovated or coloured,though a nostalgic feeling but some development expected,the ground outside is not well maintained,only the flower garden attracts you and the pond inside the college.security system is now very tight but beautification is necessary according to me
