RADHU INDUSTRIES was started by our chairman Mr. R. K. Radhu in 1968. Upon his return from West Germany in 1965 as a fresh engineer he was intrigued by the fact there was no Indian company making tyres in India. There was a huge shortage of tyres and tyres were typically sold via a quota system and every person was allotted a certain number of units a year. The segment was dominated by the multinationals a select few international companies.
This was unfathomable to a young dynamic western educated engineer and he took it upon himself to manufacture the bicycle tyres. From humble beginnings is a small shed with just 20 employees he made the first truly Indian Bicycle Tyre. After that there was no looking back. The company and brand expanded rapidly and today the company churns out millions of tyres and tubes a year sold via a dedicated and motivated dealer network spread across the length and breadth of the country and a strong international presence.
Given our deep engineering roots, quality and R&D is ingrained in our DNA. We pride ourselves on taking upon challenges that others may shy away from.
We are today a 53 year young company and the mantle has passed on to the next generation assisted by a very young dynamic and professional team both in production as well as sales.
