★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice place. It has a great historical value. Loved it.The fort at Raibania is one of the largest of the group of four mediaeval forts. The mud fort is located at the north-west angle of Raibania village located nine miles north of Jaleshwar and two miles from the right bank of the river Subarnarekha, in the district of Balasore in Orissa .The fort of Raibania was a very large one, bigger than that of Barabati and one of the greatest in India. There are no mention of the size and area of the fort anywhere stone or copper inscription has yet been discovered.Out of the group of four forts, the two larger ones are close to the village Raibania and the two smaller ones at the village of Phulta (Phulahatta). Of these two small forts nothing now remains except the outline of mud walls, with scattered debris of laterite stones and is thus completely demolished.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's an ancient fort.It was made in 1200AD approximately but due to lack of reservation many important & incredible arts on the stone were destroyed. The surrounding area is very scenic & beautiful. There is calmness in everywhere. For historic Explorer & adventure lover, the place is heaven.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good place to visit for a family/friends picnic. But the place can be maintained more better. Disappointed that the government authorities are least bothered and there was litter all around. A little effort towards cleanliness and beautification will attract much more tourist.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This fort complex is considered as the biggest medieval fort of eastern India. It was built during the reign of Eastern Ganga ruler Narasingha Deva I. There are 161 fort goddesses which are as "Durga devata" or "Iṣṫa devata" and Daṣasharu which is an aniconic form of the goddess Jayachandi

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Its located at a remote area, you can visit in day time. I always recommend ensure your safety and security when you are traveling to such remote attractions. Well for locals its a good place to hangout, its quite small and definitely not a fort, or may be very small part of a fort. There is a temple near to it. This place is almost border to WB and Odisha because while I was there my mobile was on roaming.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Narasingha Deva I, king of the Eastern Ganga dynasty of Utkala from 1238 to 1264, built the forts after conquering Humayun Khan to obstruct the entry of the Turks into Odisha.
Raibania fort is a group of ancient forts in Baleswar district, Odisha India. [1] This fort complex is considered as the biggest medieval fort of eastern India.[1] It was built during the reign of Eastern Ganga ruler Narasingha Deva I. There are 161 fort goddesses which are as "Durga devata" or "Iṣṫa devata" and Daṣasharu which is an aniconic form of the goddess Jayacaṇḍi.[2] Although three forts were recorded in the Ain-i-Akbari,[3] four forts have been found here: two of the larger ones are closer to the village Raibania, and the other two are closer to the village Phulta (Phulahatta).[4] According to The Balasore Gazetteer, the forts were devastated after the Kalapahada invaded Utkala. Post-invasion remnants of the forts except Raibania have been utilized for construction by the local Zamindars and villagers of the locality.[5]
