I have reached Railway reservation counter and was in que. But all of a sudden people in pink coloured papers came and stood exactly parallel to my que line. Eagerly asked one person, what is going on ?. Pink coloured forms are meant for Tatkal, asked me get one for Tatkal reservation. Iam surprised. Officials should put a notice board regarding issue of Tatkal forms and It procedure of Tatkal ticket issue. Iam disgusted with Railway authorities.

Varanasi Junction (Station code: BSB), also known as Banaras Junction, Varanasi Cantt Railway Station and Banaras Cantt Railway Station, is the main Railway Station which serves the city of Varanasi. The station is sandwiched between the cantonment region and Chetganj region of the city. The station is partially controlled by the Lucknow Division of the Northern Railway Zone and the Varanasi Division of the North Eastern Railway Zone of the Indian Railways. Varanasi Junction Railway Station nearly touches the frequency of 250 trains daily. Almost, 40 trains originate and terminate at the station. Premium trains of Indian Railways also originate from Varanasi Junction, such as Vande Bharat Express and IRCTC Kashi Mahakal Humsafar Express. The first line to the temple town was opened from Howarh in 1862. The Chief Engineer of East Indian Railway Company, George Turnbull directed and built the route via Patna. In 1872, a line was added for Lucknow and in 1887, Malviya Bridge was opened to connect the city with Mughalsarai. Also, the bridge connected the Oudh and the Rohilkhand Railway with those of the East India Company at Mughal Sarai.

Out of 10 counters, only 2 is functioning. So, if you have time to be in queue for at least 1 hr. then you can come. For tatkal tickets, one separate counter available.
