food is always great, however, they play smart when it comes to sweets or dessert. That is intentionally served mid-meal or at the end, though it is unlimited. Ambience is need of dire change. Seating and staff could have been more welcoming.

The Rajdhani is perfect tradition food restaurants. With variety of foods from every state. The food is very authentic and the staff is generous there. The restaurant was clean and neat. The staff gave a warm welcome with their welcome drink. Me and my 2 friends joined there. The portion of thali is very big and plus its unlimited. I lover the dal pakora and paneer sabzi. Taking about drinks chass (buttermilk) was my fav there are varieties of roti. Dessert was okay not that good, but worth going there for sure. Rating: 5/5

Want to eat something different today?? Food that is different from regular naan, latcha paratha, Dal makhani, shahi paneer and so on! May I suggest some Rajasthani food at a decent restaurant in Delhi. I visited the outlet in Connaught Place located exactly at Scindia House, next to the KFC. This is a buffet restaurant that serves food on your table. No a la carte option. The price per person stood at Rs 578/- per person including taxes. On ambience front this place is okay and does not stand out. Neat and clean with mild lighting and minimal decoration. Good enough for you to take a table and feel comfortable. In a short time you find a large thali with plenty of tiny katoris finding place on your table. Your face brightens up. Soon the thali is filled up with all sorts of Rajasthani food that makes this place stand out. Although the menu changes according to the season and seasonal vegetables a few of the food stuff remains constant. They serve dahi vada, dal-bati-churma, kadhi (its only gravy sans pakodis), daal, chana, paneer in gravy, dum aloo in gravy and one seasonal vegetable. I happened to get bhindi (lady fingers). Soon comes chapati which is small, soft and well baked. You also get tiny bajra (pearl millet) roti. You are offered a generous drop of desi ghee and I opted for each chapati that found its way to my plate. Lovely it was! There was jeera rice too but I gave it a skip. In sweets it was kheer, tiny maalpua with rabri, puran poli, churma and some halwa. Yes, how can I forget to mention that small glass of chaach (butter milk) to gulp down what was coming my way. The servings are unlimited, though in small quantities that helps you to avoid wastage. You eat as much as you can. You eat what your taste buds love most. The service is decent that comes with courtesy. While eating you are made to feel special and all your queries regarding food are answered well. WHAT I MISSED: What I regret not being able to eat was gatta subzi, gatta pulao, Rajasthani papad, papad ki subzi, Rajasthani green chilli pickle ? where you get one long chilli that is stuffed with unique masala and other Rajasthani pickle. It is also a custom in Rajasthan to serve some bhajia (namkeen mixture) with the food to give you a crunchy feel and I missed it too. There was no need for typical north Indian stuff like chola ( chana) or paneer dish or even bhindi. All these stuff we eat every day in our homes too. Rajasthan is also known for its green chilli pakoda ? or mirchi vada as it is popularly known. and I look forward to it at this place in future. I think the management will take care and try to make this restaurant different from others and give a typical Rajasthani flavour. The decor also needs to be redone in a Rajasthani style. CONCLUSION: Overall a nice experience and you come out of the restaurant wearing a smile on your face. Good dining experience that satisfies the taste buds. However, on the price front I found it on the higher side. In my opinion a price of Rs 400/- per head was enough. The tag of Rs 578/- is a bit too much; may be because this restaurant is in Connaught Place, one of the most expensive commercial place in the capital. In the last you feel a burning a hole in your pocket because you realise you haven't eaten even half of the price that was charged from you. The quantities served in your plate are miniscule (veggies are equal to one spoonful). So at the end you haven't even eaten equal to one bowl. Tasting each dish and repeating your favourite ones for once or twice is sufficient to give the feeling of fullness. Visit this place and you will feel happy. The only regret you might have is NOT being able to eat one or two dishes more though you have definitely over eaten. #indianfood #rajasthan, #eatingindelhi #eatingout #gourmet #dalbati

Yesterday I visited this place with my friend. I had a wonderful experience and the great hospitality. They are having mango festival, they served dishes in a thali that are infused with mango. A perfect set up of thali having rajsthani and gujrati dishes. Must visit with your friends and family. Highly recommended.

I love this place! I have been eating here every year when I come to India and it is consistently wonderful. A journey of delightful tastes from Rajasthan. It is a set menu with constant refills on anything you want. Right now they are celebrating mangoes . Just when you cannot believe how much food and how much variety there is on offer , they bring you three desserts! Such a journey of tastes ….spicy, sweet, sour etc. If you have never tried Rajasthani food before or love Rajasthani food then this is the place for you. Highly recommended!!!!

Most of the dishes were tasty but gatte ki sabji was outstanding. One of the highlight was Khichu . You can try this restaurant if you love Rajasthani cuisine .

Average sitting ambience. They have only 1 option of Thali which is mixture of Rajasthan and Gujarat cuisine and nothing else. Food is average as per taste , nothing special. Quantity is ample and you can refill as you wish. Service is not that great. There are other better options to try out nearby.
